Since this fight occurred almost in Delve and since it was vs Delve hostiles this is a good place to post the battle report.... no?
So we get wind of about 30 abaddons / 6 guardians etc entering fountain ( ends up being like 60 + total ) . I call for a shield fleet ( drakes / canes / scimitars / ecm ) and we rally about 65 people. I would have loved to call for maelstroms but its like impossible to get anyone to acutally approve it..... fuck it we will do something fun in BC's and at least kill something.
Chased the enemy through fountain and end up getting ahead of them as they try to enter y-2 back to delve.
A mexican standoff begins in y-2, with both sides thinking they are in the alamo. The enemy is camped in the next system with bubbles up and light / medium tackle on the gate.
Personally, hating to run around with 65 blood thirsty pilots for an hour and not kill anything, I wait until the enemy makes a wrong move. My hole opens as they pushed all of their abaddons to like 80 KM + from the gate.
Well actually I was the one at fault, I kept asking for a ship scanner to find out what the reds are fitting in their abaddons but it never happened, so I wrongly assume its a normal scorch loadout. Turns out to be 1400'shnoes:
So i jump the fleet into the fight and we proceed to wipe out anything within 20 km of the gate, and acutally we had minimal losses in that 1st engagement.
So we warp below the gate after cleaning up the lighter ships and I start trying to decide how to engage the abaddons. Still assuming they are using scorch I thought it would be best to warp in at our bleeding edge range ( about 70km give or take for canes and drakes ) and see what damage we can do.
Well, that on paper worked well and we were holding our own for a good majority of the time, however i was noticing more losses then i would have liked since most of time we were not bubbled and people could have easily warped away. Well 1400's tend to do that to ya
After i get nuked myself i start to realize something bad is happening and a few mins later i tell my sub-fc ( Ajax, who is an awesome person to be at your side in this shit ) that we need to get on top of them asap.... get underneath their tracking.
Well, spies being spies as soon as i tell him ( should have used local instead of global on TS3... im so bad at this ) the abaddons warp away.
After that Ajax chased them around for about 30 mins plus, got a few extra kills.
In the end we lost the isk war and the ship count, but a great fight and really the best i could hope for when you take BC's vs Abaddons. Its TEST and we get alot of green pilots, my big hope is that our ECM pilots start remembering to stay at absolute max range in these fights, BB's are so squishy.
Love the new Delve though, expect alot of good fights in the future!
Hopefully one day TEST will be space rich and we can fly maelstroms around again ( wont welp too many, promise! ) , so poor , so poor.

Was a GF i did wonder what you guys were doing When you came it at 70 lol, we missed 4 Clean alphas in total. all the rest were 1st Volley.
Also, Respect to you but.... we werent using spies, wrecks were as close as 10km and we didnt have logi to tank 40+ drakes and other shit so when you warped out to 350km away FC called the warp out.
All in all good fight, thats what we came for.

yea totally my bad, it slipped my mind completely that 1400's are semi common on abaddons. We've been seeing so many scorch fit's that i just assumed that was the case. You can believe ill double and triple check that in the future

We roamed around for a while and couldn't find anyone until we got word that a C0nvicted fleet was up and inbound. We scouted them with 12 maelstroms, a few drakes, 5-8 logistics, and some other stuff. We pinged around for a bit and waited. Once they jumped in, their FC had them sit at 0 on us and not move. They shot Elo almost continuously throughout the fight, and while on the initial volley he went to 70% shields, I don't think he went below 95% after that. Stuff was popping pretty quick and 2 minutes later, there were lots of yellow wrecks on my overview. GF, guys, glad to see some people still fleet up to defend against a bunch of belligerent, unchill, badposters from Mars.
