Don't expect stock brokers to be making infinite isk by playign their career in EVE, and don't expect nobel laureates to be writing speeches. One of the things about eve is that you can feel awesome and productive and powerful, but the time sink is one you could be getting a life for yourself. How many drake blobs have a sov capture grinded through to make inspirational situations? Majesta Empire comes to mind, they had a real world like governmental structure, seperation of powers and what not. These aren't political scientists, they are gamers who like the feeling of it, and they got a little bit of chaff for it. I player a game called Cybernations, and in it every alliance was like majesta empire, but with their own theme. EVE is one of the few graphical games where that makes sense.
