I hear there is a DLC coming out set in Apartheid era South Africa.

Oblivion got installed again recently along with 'Obscuros Oblivion Overhaul' and the 'Unofficial Oblivion patch'. The entire game plays completely differently and there is a surprising amount of new content (quests without retard mode go here compass and with believable dialogue)

If I had to choose between the two or die... I'd go with Warren Spector and die happily.

That being said I just reinstalled Deus Ex, DX: Invisible War and Thief III and am literally wetting my pants in nostalgia excitements about these awesome games. (I just can't get Thief I/Gold to work sadly, neither on XP nor Win7 )

From Dust comes out tomorrow. Seems Black & White esque with more of a focus on nature and really frigging cool terraforming.

Whether I write a review or not I'll post some short thoughts here.

So, sunk many hours into From Dust yesterday. All in all, it's a fun "toybox" type game. Very nature centric with excellent physics.

    Pros:
Lots of tools at your disposal.
    Simple Controls.
    Open Ended Problem Solving.

    Cons:
Maps feel a bit too easy (granted I'm not sure how far into the campaign I am, and there are challenge maps).

Stupid mechanic of getting 100% nature coverage to unlock 'memories' for your tribe. (Besides giving you more challenge maps not sure if these have a purpose.)

    No Multiplayer (yet)

TLR: its a fun game, and for $15 I'd say give it a go. I feel it'll be huge if A) there is a map editor, and B) multiplayer is released.

Confirming From Dust is pretty fun, and absolutely worth spending 15 Bucks and one or two evenings making Nature your Bitch.

Feels and plays pretty much like somebody made this incredible Physics Engine and decided to construct a game around it.

You forgot to mention the evils of digital rights management. Normally I wouldn't care but the fact it seems to take 5 minutes to decide I'm allowed to play before actually starting is vexing.

Apart from that its ok: short but sweet.

Dominions 3 is a game that I love reading about, I love the concept and the myriad of various strategies, but due to lack of effort never actually took the time to play it for "real" myself.

I've heard it described as very much like Borderlands ~ albeit with melee combat instead of guns.

I bought it, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. All of the main characters aren't exactly my cup of tea, but I'm playing as the Drunken Texan Quarterback and its going well so far. Picked up a rare Butchers knife that insta pops the Walkers of my level, which is nice. Couple of corp mates picked it up but Multiplayer servers are still down (guess they didn't stress test them or something).

Still, the core gameplay is fun.. along with having zombies.

Terraria. I picked it up for five bucks during the steam sale and have defiantly gotten my moneys worth. I believe the current price is like ten dollars (USD). The only real problem I encountered was that there is no real instructions. I mean there is a guide, but his advice is like a damn fortune cookie in terms of relevance and specifics.

Shit like "When the sun goes down, look out!" or "To craft stuff, you need stuff!" or "When you're low on health that's not good!". (A very John Madden approach to giving instructions).

Luckily the community surrounding the game is very good and there are some great wiki's out there that have all the information needed to thrive in the game.

Agreed, I've had a blast playing Terraria with a couple of friends, well worth the 10€ spent. I actually enjoyed going in to the game "blind", I found that it added to the sense of exploration not knowing what everything was beforehand.

I actually love this game. Have been playing for a while, but never multiplayer.

Do you have any favorite countries/strategies? I like to do WC with Austria (best positioned to end up converting to HRE) or one of the Big Three (France/Spain/England). One strategy I've found interesting with England is to give up my continental holdings and then rush a war with the Mamluks for early access to India once I take the two-three provinces to give Red Sea access - an early Eastern access route is (for European countries) ridiculously overpowering.

My all time greatest fav in Byzantium even tho it starts with two provinces soon Ottomans start failcascade and you can inherit the whole turkey. Good idea for first move is annexing several Greek and Turkey minors. It will have hard time with mamelukes tho once they become powerhouse and has to keep good relations with hungary/poland/lithuania. And Byzantian is unique in a way it's only minor starting as Empire.

P.S. In my latest party I owned whole mediterranian, north africa and good deal of middle east and had world top COT on newly colonized Tortuga :3

My favorite in EU3 is Muscovy. Take out your neighboring Rus to form the Russian Empire, and then push back the mongols and expand to the Pacific, and down in Persia.

Sweden is also fun, but its a hard start since Scandanavia is a shit poor region. I just hate being any country that is part of the HRE since any conquests you make are illegal and the Emperor is always demanding shit. And if you are the emperor you get lands randomly that give you infamy.

I made a 1/2 Assed Review (yes, that's what we call them ) of Dead Island for the site I write for, but this time in Video Format! Figured I'd post it here for anyone that's maybe on the fence about getting the game. Other than that, feel free to give me feedback (IE: Shitpoast ) about the video and anything I can improve on. Thanks, and enjoy.

there’s a huge variety of multiplayer modes, administered through Steam, and players can also use the map editor to create and share castles –
though lead designer Simon Bradbury is aware that they need “some kind of filtering system to avoid hundreds of castles looking like penises.”

I am having fun playing Tropico 4. It's still too easy though.

It's what I like to call "stupid fun". If you enjoyed the others you will enjoy the latest.

DoW2 Retribution with the new Tau Commander DLC. Improbably myself with the Shas'o and some other level 7 idiot went all the way backed up by a level 20 guy with a Hive Tyrant. Sold on the Tau Commander now, my IG General never did this good.

Yesterday I felt like activating my RF Online account and play around with my Mech but unfortionly I could not get the game to run as it refuses to update from my cd installation and fuck downloading something I already own.

Then I noticed my Dungeon and Dragons Online case and figured why the fuck not, I slamd it in my dvd drive. But just like my RF Online game it refused to update. I went to their official site and tried downloading the client since I wanted to do a bit more effort but the downloaded setup would not run as it kept crashing on me. So I gave that game the finger to.

After I stopped being grumpy and exhaled I walked back to my game pile and searched for some old classics, after 18 CD's I can now smugly say I am enjoying me some good old fashion Icewind Dale and Baldurs Gate.

Also any euro's still playing EQ2 or WoW? been thinking of reinstalling those two and waist some time with them.

I'm sorta realistic combat experience-whore so I'm still playing IL2 Sturmovik since the day it came out (the original one) it is pretty neat with the UltraPack 3 addon. I've fooled around in ARMA II too, with the ACE 2 modpack. Playing DCS Black Shark and A-10. I've just said goodbye to Lock On:Platinum. As for other stuff i'm into Warhammer, so Space Marine and Retribution with Tau DLC is a must have.

Also i play World of Tanks since the first day of the closed beta i just went back to play it after a little break. ( I haz Panzer IV/V Alpha <3)

A group of friends and I were discussing the Sim games recently, and I brought up Sim Tower, of which none had heard. My friend, who is much more tech-savvy than me, was intrigued, so he installed it onto his computer with DOSBox (or something) and has been playing. I really want to play, too, as that game was my favorite in kindergarten, but installing Windows 95 on my machine is a scary prospect, as it requires all kinds of special steps to make 16-bit run on 64...

Otherwise, I've been playing Section 8: Prejudice. I found out about it after I watched a Let's play! of some dude who does LoL commentaries. It's really fun. It is also, of course, very reminiscent of Halo, but it has that same feel that made Bungie's games (up until Halo: Reach) so fun to play.

    DOD:S

it's not exactly a new game... but it's fucking awesome to have guns with recoil again, well balanced maps + classes and more of a focus on teamwork rather than stats and unlocks. only £6 on steam atm, pick it up if you don't already have it.

Vouch, this game is great fun - I've been playing it more than TF2 lately

My roommate picked up RAGE and it looks like a mashup of Fallout and Borderlands, just a lot sexier. I swear some games are just gorgeous to look at.

Payday: The Heist can be tons of fun if you have a party of four. Going around, finding new ways to rob banks is endlessly entertaining and it looks great on nice machines.

I also started playing more Sins, but the problem is those games really bring out the worst in me (Civ and Total War fall in here too.) Something about spending 1.5 hours teching up, whoring resources and building up an assault force and then getting assraped in my manpussy by someone who built their shit a bit faster makes me incredibly angry.

    Still fun though.

I'm playing this quasi-MMO thing with my roommates. It's called Realm of the Mad God. Pretty fun so far, though literally no depth.

How is there not a Diablo 3 thread yet? It comes out on May 15th and I'm literally foaming at the mouth I want to play so badly.

Been playing Tribes: Ascend in the meantime, but since they introduced the plasma gun its gone downhill. Seems like the game is moving towards pay-to-win.

e: game name Krawdad, I play in the US West region.

EVOL is playing Counter Strike: Global Offensive.

It's lots of fun. This is my first CS game, and I thoroughly enjoy it.

Play FTL. Which is surprisingly addictive despite having some pretty questionable design decisions for a roguelike.

Questionable decisions are often the best kinds of decisions, e.g. FTL. Play this game.
