So anyway, nightly roam to nowhere, to do nothing in particular except see who forms to fight us:

First stop was L-C where we had received word that an -A- Muninn fleet was camping the locals into station, seeking gudfitez. By time we got there however, -A- had gone stealth mode and we couldn't figure out where, so we took up the mantle of camping Fatal Capital. When scouts reported -A- were actually fairly close to L-C in E9KD, we burned that direction, but -A- was burning home and we followed, hoping to pick off a few stragglers.

Thankfully, instead of logging off, -A- obliged us by re-shipping into 19 armor alpha Lokis and approximately 14 logis. They headed back towards, sitting on our outgate two jumps from their staging system. After the traditional Mexican stand-off at the gate, they jumped into us, the first Loki to decloak being instantly alpha'ed in true Black Legion-style and several others very quickly following him. After losing about eight or nine Lokis and realizing that even our HACs could tank their volley with so few Lokis remaining they began de-aggroing, jumping through the gate and heading back to Okaigaiken, their staging system.

They re-shipped again, this time to 23 (approximate) "Banana Boats" (plated pulse Oracles) and once again jumped into us, this time getting a lot more kills since we stayed on the gate, orbiting at 500 and well within multifreq range. But still, they lost Oracles at a frightening rate, and once our tank had stabilized, burned off the gate and warped.

Down both our recons, our dictor and around 10 HACs, Elo took us to VFK to shoot a DekCo Drakefleet that had formed. They were brawling NCdot Tier 3s when we arrived, we blapped two or three before they warped to the sun at 0, we followed and killed a few more before they warped to station and docked.

eathXx were hellcamping one of our guys into their little pocket of Venal (Y-4 and 6NJ) so we formed up in shield BCs (mostly Drakes, 1 Cane and 1 Talos w/ 2 logis) FCed by the AU TZ phenom known as Steelrattty. After getting our guy out, we hung around, waiting for the RUS)) to form up, they obliged after we decloaked and killed an unfit Falcon. Warping about 9 BCs, 2 Scimis, Blackbird and Rapier to the gate, we separated them via Crazy Ivan then caught one of their retard Scimis 45km off the gate and brawled him down, kicking off the fight. Our Cane was the first primary and got hammered into armor but reps caught right as he was bleeding structure and held him up while we burned down 6 BCs under their 1 Scimi. Loot was scooped and we were chilling out waiting to leave when someone caught eyes on a Drake 200km below

eath's home station, with maybe a dozen undocked, mostly Drakes and Canes again.

We warped back, scooped up the Drake as a Tornado came to his aid and Xdeath began warping in, one by one. Our Drakes flipped back and forth between kiting and closing in to brawl ranges, stretching out their gang as

eath continuously reshipped, feeding ships in individually. We lost a Cane early on due to overwhelming DPS fielded by

eath, but for the most part dudes were on the ball with positioning. It was one of the best running fights I've had in awhile.

Final tally was about 40 kills to 1 loss (Cane).

I think there is some inverse correlation between the amount of anger and rage expressed and FC ability. Having been in -A- a couple weeks now I think my theory holds up. Knowing the FC of last night's BL v. -A- fight I bet there was some choice rage on -A- comms.

Regarding that fight from last night, there was actually no rage. Despite losing lokis (most dead before they got locked), the majority of us reshipped to oracles without complaint and we decided to kamekazi right back into the muninns, which we knew were in enough numbers to alpha strike nearly any subcap in the game. We did better, I even had time to damp two of the scimitars, before Elo promptly removed me from the field. His answer to why he did that so early afterwards in my channel: "Well, because you were an arazu." Fair enough. I didn't range damp Elo in round 1 because I thought it would be a dick move as well.

There is no inverse correlation between anger and FC ability, and I'm sure there are famous examples. Mukk is a very experienced FC and the mexican stand-off lasted more than ten minutes, because one does not simply jump into that many muninns in their optimal. Turns out 100k+ ehp afterburning Lokis don't tank it, and with the muninns also in our optimals, it was a dps race that the muninns won with their larger numbers and our steadily decreasing t3s. Mukk was calm about it and we just switched to banana boats and went back with the promise of another good fight. After round 2, no regrets from anyone from our side. I told Elo straight up I gained more respect for muninns, and we won't underestimate them again.

Also, it takes more than two weeks to test the rage~FC ability theory. There is hilarious rage in non-volatile situations and there is righteous rage when people do stupid shit like AB at full speed toward a battleship fleet, logistics anchor burning toward the enemy, tech 3 cruisers dying in safe spots, an inty looting while keeping 500m 'transversal' on the wreck while in the optimal of an enemy Moros, the list goes on.

Sometimes it takes FC rage for pilots to stop making dumb-ass errors, even simple ones like not keeping aware of your position. Don't be so quick to judge an FC's ability, you have to have been in hundreds of fleet engagements and you will begin to see there is a lot to rage about when you see pilots doing it wrong - especially the ones that can jeopardize your whole team. If you ask me though, the best way to learn is the hard way.
