It's funny because a surprising amount of the Tengus ratting in Fountain are, in fact, human. These nerds are just so slow they never jump them in time.

To the contrary, you don't need to be very fast at all to escape even the fastest scanner. I've jumped in and been in warp to a Tengu within ~15 seconds give or take and they're still gone by the time I enter local. Why? Because you have to wait for the anom scanner, narrow down which of the often 15+ that they're in, then warp to them, land, lock them, and point them (assuming they're in range.) All they have to do is be aligned and click the warp button when local instantly updates.
Awoxing is just coping with a shitty local mechanic.

Did you even read? The minimum time imposed by anom scanning, warping, and locking alone allow someone running anoms to escape from even the "perfect hunter" who wastes no time whatsoever assuming they're not mentally retarded. You have a good deal of delays inherent in the mechanics of hunting and none in concealing the hunter, so if you want to actually catch anyone you have to circumvent those limitations.

He's actually right. It's literally impossible to catch a bot or even a human if they're even semi-attentive (unless theyre in something super slow like a carrier).
Not really. Login traps, blops hotdrops, etc all work well.
This narrative also implies that TEST members are competent enough to watch local or pay attention.
Blops hotdrops face exactly the same problems as regular roaming gangs and login traps are still slower than the align time of a tengu. And against a bot, awoxing is literally the only thing that works.
Let's see if I can lay this out any simpler:
Time to scan for anoms: 10 seconds
Time for an interceptor to complete a 10AU warp: ~35 seconds
VERSUS
Average human reaction time: 0.2 seconds
Tengu align time: 5.4 seconds
I'm being really generous by not including the time it takes to dscan to find out which anomaly the ratter is in but either way the math adds up to you being an idiot.

A few weeks ago, I got a little bored and I decided to do a little bot hunting in catch after we returned to fountain:
Turns out I was disrupting an entire botting operation. Every system in this area had two Nightmares and one Noctis ratting 23/7. All of them run by a single guy.
So I decided to hellcamp him and disrupt his operation and after about four days of this I get a convo from him:

It's better than normal jew gold because of the tears involved. But why stop extorting him after receiving 10B for only messing with him for less than a week. I was planning on milking him for as long as I could and having my own personal [s]slave[/s] tech moon. But then CCP banned all RMTers and well....

There is a silver lining to all these Pizza awoxers running around. Getting "security deposits" from scam marks has never been easier. All I have to do is link one of Pizza's alt's kb and I get the isk 30 seconds later.
