While I most certainly don't deny that MM loves its carebearing, I have never seen as much carebearing as these delve folks do. One of those HUN systems hits 1000 npc kills an hour sometimes. And don't get me started on period basis. That is truly some epic bearing. You guys are the real pros down here, I bow to the carebear stare. Rick, your attitude towards this situation is alarming. You got your supercarrier by looting during my pvp roams, and other FC's roams, plus begging for isk from people.

I always give loot out to gang members, and if its a total BBQ, with no losses then I often let people loot the field and keep 1 or 2 things each.

I often don't take any loot.

I always give some loot to people who die. The reality of it is, that they will not get their compensation paid for up to a week or 2. So they need ISK now to keep fighting.

If people do awesome job or set up a kill, I give them some of the loot.

I only earn the right to keep some loot when i get everyone home safe.

If there's a small gang and we get a massive faction loot score or something, we sell all the gear and give members isk payouts. we offer whatever the loot is to corps in RAWR for reduced prices, before selling at Jita.

BORG defection is an interesting case study in inter-alliance relations. My take on it:

Very early on it became apparent that BORG (or at least some of their COL leaders) created an imaginary chip on their shoulder about somehow becoming RAWR pets. I dunno why some insist on every blue-blue relationship in EVE being seen as master-pet or pet-master but in order to prove you're not a pet of one of your allies, apparently it's neccesary to assert your superiority over them (and shittalk about them), instead of just treating them as equals. I've seen this attitude a couple times before and it never ends well

In this case I think they were basically playing up the whole "we will not be pets" line to members and member-corps as an alliance-bonding exercise, which is understandable. They're a brand new alliance, formed from corps with little shared background, including a couple of strong old-corps that will have high-standards when it comes to putting together a new alliance. It's not a recipe that historically has a high success rate and they will be aware of that and the need to bind the alliance fast, create shared-culture and cultivate external threats


So they chose to "slam their fist down on the diplomacy table" over MJXW-P and hilighted a difference in attitude between the alliances as to what the Hobo experiment in Delve was all about. Since 'we don't want sov (we want sov)', we're staging from NPC systems and we're generally avoiding putting down roots, RAWR has been ratting anywhere we can. NPC space, red sov, and blue sov. If we started not ratting in blue sov, at the same time as helping blues take that sov we'd be shooting ourselves in the foot - if we were really succesful we'd lock ourselves out of most of Delve, or worse it would spark some retarded sov-grab between allies over space that's in the proccess of ping-ponging which is the last thing we want. That especially applies to a system like MJX which is right near where we stage. BORG apparently wanted a more traditional space-enclave where getting your coloured dot on the map first gives you exclusive control of a system. Brick were also looking to take sov but seem to agree with us that it was a shared effort (infact as the first to take a big chunk of sov I think it was more-or-less their idea)

Anyway solving problems like this is what diplos are for. But it doesn't help if you're out to prove something instead of solving it. BORG delivered us an ultimatum and a threat to gtfo MJX thus asserting their authority, and gave it to Vlade (who isn't a diplomat). Being pretty new to alliance-level leadership it's fair to say he was a little unsure how to handle it, but with some prompting he formulated a reply which I believe is the 'email' Soshy mentioned (in the speech leaked a couple of pages back). It defintely wasn't the most diplomatic reply, but it did convey our stance and it was infinetely more polite than the original threat

Of course instead of interpreting it as us turning down their attempt to make us their bitches, there was more panic about BORG somehow becoming our bitches. Diplos stepped in and spent a week trying to sort it out, but I think BORG leaders had basically made up their mind that flying with us wasn't going to work. (With the attitude they came into it with personally I don't think it ever stood a chance of working and all this was very predicatable). So you can't blame them now for picking the only other viable option they have in the area. The irony is by hitching themselves to -A-'s megablock and the security that comes with it everyone really will view them as pets


I guess for RAWR's part we'll learn some lesssons. The diplo-game is a little more complex without the stability of the NC underlying the politics, especially when it comes to corps/individuals that don't have past experience dealing with us and are a little less distrusting/little more likely to formulate their opinions based on propoganda

Him and a Thantos undocked and agressed on station we warped in started on the Thanatos who docked around 25% or 40% armor range this carrier never docked I doubt he had hardeners on and was ratting fit not combat fit. I have no idea why he didn't dock unless he was afk but then it's stupid to undock a carrier and go afk with 120 hostiles in local. I would say this is clearly an example of Player error, but if that is the official fit for there combat carriers then wow very very sad indeed.

What lead up to this was us camping there system for around 6 hours today, I guess the EU guys got home early or something.

Jesus Christ No @ that fit :P, and like I'd know as Whitey was referring to myself about the R.A.G.E Noctis, what was actually cute was when both the fleet got shitty and Junior SVK was planning to try and get it, so I just left fleet. At the same time providing better intel of the PL pos/and there bombers moving around which probably pissed him off alittle more, then when we were done, dodging PL gatecamps and lokis trying to uncloak it was fun times. This was when PL had all the Venal Moons.. time, anywho when it came to the mass capital fight with PL losing a few titans in the North, yeah I racked in couple of bil. Better to be doing PvP and 'attempt' to rake in ISK, than sit in sanctums all day like a headless chicken.

What was worse was when some of the corp lead suggested all fleet loot should go to the alliance reimbursement team to divvy up... and they should co-ordinate/manage it... like we didn't have enough to do already.

I think my response at the time was "just shoot every noctis you see, job done, leave us alone"
