i disagree Pripyat, if CVA wants to have its old NRDS provi then they'll have to fight the new guys or get them to accept NRDS. If i payed for the space i wouldn't accept NRDS where neutrals can exploit belts.

CVA acting as an independent bloc (which they will always do) isn't being "smug" or "arrogant", it's conducting it's business. It's not like they haven't been pushed back to Misaba multiple times, each time sticking it out and continue to wage whatever warfare they can.
CVA/Holders are not acting smug. CVA/Holders are just being opportunistic. Most of the CVA/holders have their own estimations of how long this coup will last and no-one has any doubts that we can lose the systems just as easily as we gained them. We have been doing guerilla warfare for much of the last year and half and its quite fun - besides getting pushed out obviously doesn't seem to bother us as most of the folks who stayed behind are still here. At present we are just enjoying our time in providence, making the most use of it and enjoying the now plentiful PvP. All of a sudden -A- is interested in roaming and many neutral-come-reds flying to the area for ''easy PvP'' which many are realising its not all that easy either.
South Providence is going well and has more of a population that it ever had with NC./Evoke/404. And its NOT no onger a ghost town like it used to be. In days gone by when sanctums indeed where more common most of the ratters 'hid' in convenient pockets where they were relatively 'safe'. Now the place is lively and almost 'bustling' with activity. Its no where near what it used to be in old provi but it is building up day-by-day with both friendly/neutral and hostile forces.
Interesting times indeed.
Until the next time we get pushed out - we going to enjoy what we have for as long as we have.

PL is nothing but a force-multiplier. PL's capital power is terrifying indeed, but in a sub-cap fight they need meatshields to shine. Sub-cap fights are the feet-on-the-ground in EVE just like infantry is on earth. If you want to control a region you need to win the sub-cap fights. It wouldn't take many of those Tengu losses before some of their FOTM playerbase would start showing discontent. That's the reality of a FOTM playerbase. Attrition is also a factor in a prolonged campaign where you start taking losses, something which PL is spared from as they usually have meatshields which are taking the losses for them. That means while someone else is on the grid and in the face of the enemy, holding them down, PL can engage on their own favourable terms. With that said PL is a force-multiplier I'd rather have on my side than against me because PL always make their presense known on a battlefield. PL has very limited political assets however. That belongs to those who hire them. PL only enforces indirect power. At least on the grand scale of things.
With the complete and swift de-balling of the entire NC, I humbly suggest a small list of public channels interested parties could join, or corps recruiting in the area

Assuming you are serious? By joining CVA-Diplo and talking to diplomats, and then agreeing to their rules. After that, probably needing to make amends, show you are actually wanting to get off the kos list in some way or another, and are not just their to try and gank their supers, or helping out around domain/providence killing reds and avoiding killing CVA blue's for awhile. Or maybe you will just get outright rejection.

Severence will probably move south, and FCON isn't even close to the same FCON that left.
Only actual alliance I can see moving back down would be cold steel and maybe a break-off from excon to reform tread.
Most of the pb pets that left either will end up or merge into dekco, or die off. Individual members might come back, or maybe even a couple of corps but I highly doubt full alliances will even attempt to come back, and those who do might well be turned away.

TL;DR some single corps might be looking forward to move to providence, but it will be dekco test goons choice to pick from the ex-provi/nc crop looking for a new home. and there are more entities than just cva recruiting in the south atm.
It's true that they are now pretty much down to UATL and DVVD of the original Providence members left, but there's still a sizeable chunk of corps with a Providence history there.
Chokta has to steer a careful course in case some of his members start sheering off to return to Providence. Genco, for example, have already gone and more could follow.
Providence is akin to Israel, NRDS is akin to Judaism, and bitches be coming home after the holocaust.
