We lost alot but NC and Goons got raped by everyone else.
I was there my friend in a covert cyno..... why down play it? its funny that IRC are so stupid to fall for it 3 times now.
With any luck this will be the end of the shieldcat concept testing and is one less ship to carry around eve.
The only time we've actively worked with IRC was for one fight that didn't play out like 2-3 weeks ago against goons. I have no idea why IRC would blue us and if they actually did blue us today, then they're pretty foolish.

After saving the 7x-v tower, 200 Goons/MH headed over to tribute to assist MM with a pos save attempt in D-8.
We got on the a MM titan (who wasn't giving out any passwords for some reason ;p) merged the MH and goon fleet and got ready. MM/NC had another 75 or so waiting. We observed about 250 Hostiles in D-8 (local was 248 when we jumped)
being that the first tower had died seconds before we bridged in the hostiles started to land on our safepos grid (planning to kill it after) so we were forced to divert to a gate. NC bridges 200km off and Goons 20km off the gate. Our intent had not been to spread out that much but it goes how it goes. PL and IRC were first in on NC cyno and the fight was on.
We had a couple who didn't get caught by the in-line bubbles and got summarily slaughtered by 200 Alphafleet desperatly trying to get into range.
MM/NC having been burning the whole time towards us and us burining towards them eventually started coming together. at which point NC. bounced 200km above gate and down onto us.
quite happy at this new turn of events we summarily executed a few BS and then the triage carriers jumped in. Being that shooting triage carriers were archons and we had almost lost one of the first BS kills to rep catch up, i switched us right over to PL in their "shieldcats". With no triage reps, alphafleet is near unstoppable and we summarily chewed through a good portion of the PL BS fleet, all the while trying to get range away from the un-movable triage archons and NC. abbaddon fleet.
however just as the fight was really starting to turn for us, the floor got yanked out. In jump a half dozen titans and supers etc.
Being quite aware of how the fight would go at that point i did a fleet warp out, and got most of our fleet stuck as two well placed dictor bubbles basically caught a good 30-40bs. alot got out, alot didn't, but fighting on-grid with titans and EVEN MORE triage support was not going to increase our net kills much so we bailed, and that was that.
But I was in system + they were erebuses so I didn't want people to get suspicious and blame meHe got double DDed for a Claymore with no links.
You forgot to mention BL's amazing contribution of curbstomping IRC + NC and getting dd'd by NCDOT.
BL bridged in at the same time as the titans at which point we were basically just running. there wasn't anything really to say about them

Serious question for people on both sides - if you ignore the winning/losing outcome part, did the entrance of supercaps into this fight make it a better fight, or make the fight more fun?
Because to me this battlereport reads like a CCP internal memo on why supercaps should face "to the ground, baby!" ghostcrawler style nerfitude. What sounds like an awesome and fun subcap/cap fight with losses and tactics and even betrayal from all sides, ended by the appearance of a broken mechanic.

So, because Goons didn't escalate further with their own supers its a broken mechanic?
Supers are an escalation of combat, nothing more, you either sack the fuck up and use your pretty pos ornament or you sit on the forums and cry about broken mechanics.
One of Eve's good points is what makes the game fun for you might not have fuck all to do with me. You like 'sub cap' slug fests, I like 6 hour long fights that see every piece of offensive hardware walking fielded, because I sure as fuck didn't pay 25 billion to hump a tower and spin my shit.
Nobody can force you to face a supercapital fleet, ask Atlas, but Supers are now part of Sov warfare, and if you feel like participating you should probably come to grips with that fact, or be prepared to move, a lot.
But Grath having ships that require concentrating years of skillpoints and wealth into a single account does not benefit GSF and therefore does not fit the GSF version of eve. And as we all know from reading some very important and very long posts by the Mittani, Mpozoy, and Vile Rate the only correct version of eve online is GSF version.

The thing with supers, they are "broken" according to whoever has less on the field. It used to be PL claiming they were broken when they and their current employers had less, now its NC claiming they are "broken" whilst the side with more supers defends them to the teeth. Its the circle of life. *Hums the Lion King tune*
Doomsdays are broken, nerf doomsdays.
Dreadfleets are broken, nerf Dreads.
Motherships are broken, boost motherships.
Supercarriers are broken, nerf supercarriers.
