he is, and most of the decisions the dev team is taking there are really cool. it's kind of refreshing to see a game where the design team actually has a good idea of how to make a good multiplayer game and doesn't want to shit all over their playerbase. compare it to the horrible shit DICE has been doing with bf3

I really really want to see an article on TM about kugu and the great impact a good forum and user base can have on adding to the drama and the meta game of campaigns in Eve. Something that really states how the history of Eve just wouldn't be the same with out it.

as I understood it, this was supposed to out do evenews24 and be on a neutral stance and a non-propaganda site? Maybe I got things wrong or was fed with wrong information. However, the only honest and non "side-taking" posters are Mittani himself as far as fights vs DOTBro's. I have been fed anti goon propaganda since I came into 0.0 and unknowingly hate them, there are alot of people fun to chat with in local etc and I'm sure being inside the commnity is much more fun than being outside.
Anyhow, just wanted to say props to Mittani for (So far) solid reports without any propaganda bullshit, enjoyable reads during bad lectures at uni.

There's been a pretty big problem in the last few days with NCdot-affiliated posters fagging up the comments accusing us of 'propaganda'. We dealt with it, first time we had to get heavy on the moderation since the site opened and we bugzapped the initial group of EN24 posters. There's also been a couple of eloquent posters worried about bias which we're happy to see - which is why I tried to hire Gothic (he refused) and I might make the same offer to Poison Kevin, who makes pretty fraps.
Right now we have a lot of CFC-affiliated authors who write battle reports and only a few Hilmars and Reverend Maks, but the claims of bias have yet to be backed up with any actual evidence - IE, "this sentence here, this adjective use here is inappropriate, this is a normative statement against NCdot," etc. It's easy to say 'this is biased' and drive-by as a dismissal, it's much harder to actually back the accusation up.
The hard truth is that - as we see from most real-world news sites - the common human reaction to news that a person does not like/enjoy (ie: 'my side is losing') often leads to a kneejerk accusation/dismissal of the source of that news so that the cognitive dissonance goes away. So I don't pay attention to blanket accusations of bias, but I'm very, very interested in specific accusations based on actual verbiage within the articles (normative statements, factual inaccuracies, etc).
Normative statements make value judgments about one side or another; so 'NCdot are deluded because they only care about k/d ratio' is a normative statement, where 'NCdot leadership has emphasized that they care about fights and not strategic objectives' is reportage. Factual inaccuracies are just that. Propaganda, real propaganda, is stuff like Sindel singing Makalu Cries, and we've been entirely up front with disclaimers in front of stuff like that and NCdot/GSF/IRC alliance updates that 'this shit should be considered raw agitprop'.
Tl;dr: find me a NCdot reporter who is willing to write and not just complain (Gothic Light was willing to complain, but shut up when asked to put up) and I'll be delighted. Another SoCo reporter would be cool, too.

I talked to Endie about doing it, but then I didn't login for like 2 weeks, so that made it sort of difficult to report on the actions going on.
We have one -A- reporter who has been rigorously insulated from leadership such that no source-driven reporting can be achieved. It's pretty infuriating when -A- grunts then get on the comments and whine about how SoCo's side is underrepresented on Mittens.com; it's not because we refuse to consult them, it's because their leaders are Shitlers in a North Korean echo chamber.

I would really like to some more in depth interviews and stories about individuals that are/were famous/infamous. Like that goon fc chick. Things like that to give more insight to people instead of the current two dimensional view. I hope that makes sense.
Maybe a series of personal interviews? Also from all aspects of the game, not just people from one alliance or coalition. Thanks.
