Y-OMTZ changing hands today.. Clusterfuck killed some onlining TCU:s at USTZ last nite but BRICK hauled more into the system.
Station was just hanging there like big bag of candy waiting for someone to pick it up, but we didnīt have enough manpower to strike like ninjas. They didnīt have the balls to go into siege so station was still on 2% structure when downtime came. But we were too slow to drop on them after DT, so situation is +1 station to BRICK.

Good god, what a terrible post. Just so you know, it wasn't PL who decided to set a blue list from Geminate to Fountain to begin with. Nor was it PL who made everyone from Delve to Catch blue up, or even from Wicked Creek to Branch. Those people that like to wallow in a happy land of blue are what made the game what it is now, not an alliance with lots of supercaps that barely logs in because they're playing BC2.

From the point of view of someone who despised both the DRF and the NC, there's not really a whole lot of difference between a huge overbearing coalition of blues covering half the map centred on Tribute and a huge overbearing coalition of blues covering half the map centred on Perrigen Falls.

If anything, the DRF are a minor improvement in that I don't have to see their smug self-justifying faggoty and lies about RMTing on Kugu and the other forums. Perhaps PL view the situation in a similar way. As for their employment prospect, the DRF will inevitably either fracture or become decadent. I think PL will be OK for jobs in the long run...

You could make your own spreadsheet to calculate the benefit.
Factor in the time it took from undocking till getting to the fight, then the time after the fight until it was sold on the market (only noobs leave out the transition times on their spreadsheets). That should give you a basic idea of your ISK per/hr for that instance and it may very well be competitive with Incursion isk if you leave that as an isolated event, but as soon as you step into the sustainability of Incursions they win out like Cannabis in a rap battle versus Kreayshawn.

Seriously, what is with the dumb-ass BL responses of late? Re-read 'your' post again. I'll highlight the part that wasn't just dumb generalization of NC attitudes from the local chat perspective.
I haven't complained about anything that has happened. Find one fucking comment where I laid blame on anyone other than NC for the NC kicking the bucket.Centra said simply, because they paid us. Well then, why did you continue to support them? Because they continued to pay us. NC fought to protect themselves and their lands (they didn't fight for tech, members rarely saw any boon from it). PL fights for profit. These two motivations don't jive with each other. Its only now that the NC has fallen that some of its members are starting to see the bigger picture of Eve and how there's multiple ways to have fun playing this shitty game.
My only interest with PL is the choices PL make and the effects of the choices in defining the political landscape. I don't give a shit that the NC is gone.
What I am trying to do is understand PL, their motivations and if they really have any idea in terms of what implications their actions make for themselves. They do not need to give a shit about anyone other than themselves but for a high-end merc alliance you need the right type of environment which will create demand for their services and there needs to be the kind of structure that could support hiring them.
If the map degenerates into the gudfight zone with multiple alliances per region then who could afford to pay PL? Nobody. You don't make that much money from a part interest in a region.
So someone like PL would need coalition level entities which can generate significant wealth.
Removing a coalition like NC to have them replaced by several other coalitions would be a great move because it would likely increase the amount of conflict and NC controlled too much space.
But, NC was effectively replaced with Goons and DRF pets and goons who inherited the NC have traditionally had a long-standing non-aggression pact with the DRF.
So, this current environment is one PL have played a significant hand in creating. They helped the DRF put the Atlas remnants down like a lame dog, helped remove what was left of the head of the NC and now DRF is clubbing -A- like a baby seal.
What is the long-term outlook for PL in this environment? I have zero interest in what happened to the NC, as I said many times over the years, the NC's demise was inevitable and should have died during Max2 but PL intervened, granted for money, but the consequences of that choice would ensure there would continue to be work for them in the future.
It is the current outlook that interests me, because from their recent endeavors up north with the Goons I am trying to understand if this is a good environment for PL. As a merc, would you accept good pay over the short-term to create an environment which would make your services obsolete in the long-term? Do you actively work to try and create an environment that would lead to more work in the future?
Or do mercs just take whatever is on offer and hope their choices don't just shoot themselves in the foot?

You might place the blame on the NC, but writing a wall of text implying that PL are somehow acting stupidly by limiting their employers' pool indirectly implies that you do not really believe it. Kinda like "yeah it was my fault that I crossed the intersection on a red traffic light and caused an accident, but let us now discuss whether it makes sense to have a traffic light there".
You are simply trying to divert the blame. You imply that had PL played their part in a "smart way" by somehow
1. Denying their services to the DRF potentially losing a very important client, or
2. Shooting themselves on the foot by deliberately performing badly in their contract against the NC,
the NC would probably survive. Which leads me to the following remark:

Don't get me wrong I don't victimize NC, it had what's coming, good game. Nor do I blame PL for doing what they do well.
I'm just pointing out why people who were/are cheering for it's downfall are wrong as it didn't contribute to game getting ~better~ at all.
P.S. Take my definition of "better" with a grain of salt, by better I mean overall liveliness of EVE.

That was a fucking fun fight in 1DH-SX and PR8-CA last night. About 300 in local with us, Morsus Mihi and AAA. Srsly it's fleet fights like that that keep me logging in and enjoying this game: lots of tactical maneuvering, no lag.
The highlight for me was listening to Vee waffling like a 12 year old girl at the GAP who can't decide whether to blow her month's allowance on that new sweater: "Well, I don't know guys it's probably a bad idea to jump into them with them sitting on the gate at optimals, but I kinda want to. But we only have 6 scimis. But I really want to. We're all probably gonna die. Ok Ok fuck it let's just do it."
I have no idea who "won" but I had a blast.
