It's not so bad with the T-44 as it's still a fairly competitive rape-rape machine in stock/low end setups.
You should try doing it in German tanks...

a fully upgraded vk3001 p is nice though.
Yeah, it's pretty depressing as stock but does get a lot better. My personal fav of the german T6 meds is 3001 H, love that mobility. It'd be hilariously overpowered if it had the vertical stab at tier 6 like the US tanks.
I have literally no idea why anyone would want a III/IV to be honest, or suffer through that line to that point when you could have come up via the III and IV.
I love my III/IV. I play it like a Leopard with slightly more HP and it works well, it can easily circle-of-death KVs.

The Lee is terrible, but the T1 is worse.
Also awesome new pics of the Object 252. It was previously going to be the tier 9 replacement heavy for the IS-4, but it is now going to be a Tier 8 premium while the T-10 (IS-10) is the new Tier 9 heavy.
The T1 is better on the single fact that it has a muthafucking turret.

Problem is a Pz IV prior to the big turret plays almost identically - so whats the point? I liked it in beta - not so much now
Looking at those armor angles I can see some "löwe has 120mm, we'll give this 120mm" scenario playing out, ending with 200+ los armor in every direction.
Both where utter shit. Though I have to disagree, the T1 was a little less shit even though it was like driving a barn. Really I hated all US tanks other then the M4 and T29, granted I've only gotten as far as the t29 and easy 8 on the US side.
Easy 8 is easily my favorite. The T-20 is faster with more armor, but the rate of fire is much slower. (But T-20 is a good tank!) The Pershing is shaping up to be awesome now that I have a better feel how to play it.
I'm still in my T-29 at the moment and I paid to convert xp to skip the rest of the M6 madness.

I think it has 100mm armour, so yeah about 200mm LOS sounds about right, although the driver hatch looks like a giant weak spot.
Considering I have every US line except arty to at least Tier 5, you'd be terribly wrong. I was actually pretty good with the Lee and liked it enough to go back and grind out the T1 with it rather than pay for the conversion, though that might be my warm-and-fuzzy Steel Panthers 3 Lee experiences talking. (Battalion of Lend-Lease 8th Army M3 Lees raping every Afrika Corps vehicle in sight. Dammit, now I want to play SP3 again.)
I didn't have any particular problems with the Lee as far as I can remember. That gun is pretty good for the tier , you just need to position it like a TD to get anything done.
Bought a T-44 and upgraded it in one go yesterday and it's been a blast to drive so far. It doesn't feel very good as such but it's very entertaining, the guns especially are bit of a letdown but it was to be expected. It is very fast and nimble at least.
Any real ISU pros here? I'm having terrible time with those compared to german TDs, the BL-10 is a marvelous gun but the TD is just painfully fragile especially after the Ferdinand. You need 2 shots for a Löwe instead of ,say, 3 in the Ferdinand but you're in a big big hurry to get the hell out and into cover as soon as anything above tier 4 opens fire on you. Win % is still pretty decent on the ISU but it just doesn't "feel right", I'm sort of fumbling around between taking the occasional shot and getting my ass shot off by some löwe 500 meters away. Seems like the ISU draws a lot more fire than a Ferdinand as well, probably people are more willing to just try their luck with a shot against that armor vs a Ferdinand where you know you need to have a pretty big gun to penetrate reliably.

Maus, VK4502 Ausf B, King Tiger,Löwe, Ferdinand, Panther II, GW Panther, Pz 38H735. IS-3, T-44, ISU-152. T29 & Easy Eight, and a few unlocked tanks I couldn't afford yet (Jagdtiger comes to mind). Driving the dailies is starting to become bit of a chore already. Now to just add the E-series.

Very true, very true, although you don't get the camo bonus and the profile is only slightly smaller than the Statue of Liberty. To me the M3 Lee had all the disadvantages of Tanks and Tank Destroyers with the advantages of none. What it did do was make me better at the M4, Easy 8, and my Stug III.
I still don't have any real upgrades on mine yet but I love this tank. It really fits my play style in an Easy 8 sort of way. The speed and agility are what make it great.
So at this point in my game, is a Löwe worth it? (the price doesn't bother me. I work hard for a living and I'll spend money to have fun.) What I do wonder is I have tanks that make good money but how much money does this beast pull in per round? If its better than 20-50K I'm in.

I don't know the precise numbers, but from what i understand the gold tanks make the tier 8 moneys plus some, and dont cost 20k to repair and re-arm. (Just got into the tiger 2 and its murder on my cred count. Even when i win a round the 105 costs me more than i make x.x)
On a completely unrelated note, is there a terribad pubby kugu clan kicking around? or any clans want a just-above-stock tiger 2... Really interested to see how that world domination thing works.

I'd say yes, it's the only tank consistently pulling in better than 50k profit a round. I seem to average around 75-80k credits per round , minus some repairs (up to 8k) and maybe another 8k ammo.
Definitely a buy if you value your time and aren't too picky about spending on your entertainment. Especially the reduced cash grinding time is a winner.
I'm going to wait to see how this new Russian premium tanks turns out before I buy one of these. Even if the Lowe is still slightly better I will probably go with the Object 252, purely because it looks much cooler.

Also depending on the price and how well the Object 252 does I might consider getting it as well. For the same reason as Galtiner, because its sexy. Also because I strongly dislike the Lowe(because I see like 4-5 in every match).
Yeah, im a big hater of lowes as well. Namely because theyre one of the other tier 8s that consistently bounced my tiger's shells. Honestly Lowes bounce shells like i bounce checks right now :<
The t29/32 and IS line are irritating for it as well, but at least they didnt p2w their way to bounciness.
One of the funnier sides of driving around in a löwe (at 500+ matches now) is all the haters, especially the people in "real" heavies and who are utter shit at it. Nothing like some T32 or IS-3 with 10% lower win rate than you running his mouth about shit löwes.
Yeah, some people are pretty irrational about it. I do hate lowes for their bounciness but all in all theyre not really ~that~ OP. Especially when driven well. Im particularly hateful towards them now that ive got the first 105mm gun on the KT. The penetration is the same as the tiger's 88 but the AP shells cost over 1k, so every time a lowe bounces a shell i get more bitter towards them.
So far the E-series are not impressing me when I fight them, but the Tiger (P) is a monster on city maps or in any other situation where flanking isn't practical.
I thought the E75 was pretty good in the public test, although I only had a few rounds with it before they shut the server down. Also the E50 is a pretty good bouncing machine from the front.
Hell, I'll just get both. That way I don't have to wait around when one is still in a game.

I've reached the conclusion that the new Tier 10 German gun, and by extension the E-100 itself, is basically a method to lure you into buying premium ammo. Because without HEAT you basically have either a gun that can't reliably pen the front of a KT or a Tier 5 arty gun. With HEAT you have an Epic Murder Machine.
Honestly the E-75 looks identical in every way (aesthetically) to the king tiger, which amused me slightly, because i rather like the look of the king tiger and have changed my german goal-tank to the e-100 :3
fakeedit: so the e-75 is pretty much identical, using the same guns, engines etc as the tiger 2 with the exception of the 128mm tier 10 gun which is only ~60kxp~ and required for the e-100 research
It also has better armour. They look the same because the E75 was meant to be an eventual successor to the KT.

Just spotted a T-25. it looks pretty good and it stood up to my 75 L/70 fire well, although it didn't last long with four people shooting at it.
I haven't actually read the ingame description because it was in Russian in the public test, I should have figured it said something like that.
If one gold bought you multiple rounds, I would probably get a few rounds. As it stands it's way too expensive. Although I'm betting gold ammo is used more frequently in a clan wars match.

Considering clan wars/world domination gets you a drip feed of gold per territory your clan owns, i would bet it is used quite alot in those matches. Incidentally, how does that whole joining clan thing work zak? youll have to talk me through it when youve got time :u

I usually carry a few rounds of gold ammo in every tank, mainly to deal with tanks on my shit list. T95s would be the latest addition, just plain tedious to deal with in anything big and slow. Easier to just swap to gold and blow it straight to hell.
I had an entertaining game on Siegfried yesterday where i essentially solo'd an obj. 704 with my KT (using the lower tier 105, awful pen on that) using the "bane of a TDs existence" maneuver, essentially track it or sneak up on its side and just ram it and stay there. The same works for t95 and ive heard its a nice n amusing kill if you can track it and keep it that way.
It really depends on the map. If you have ruinberg or something like lakeville it's a cool and fun brawl. If you have any of the other maps and are on a good team, it's "guys just spot them from your cover and let the arty do the work. Don't take any risky shots"

I expected T-43 to be pretty tedious as well, it turned out to be a pretty good tank. Could be a question of what fits your style, but it's reasonably fast, reasonably robust, has that 175 pen gun at tier 7. It just doesn't have any really outstanding features, but that average or better all around makes it a good tank.
Stuck at T-44 atm myself while I grind the E-75. 3k XP to go , so today's dailies should get it done and fully upgraded.
