Default One month into the Great Jumpbridge Nerf

I am curious how various nullsec entities and their flocks have found the fallout from the jumpbridge nerf. Has it heralded a new age of small gang pew-pew, or is :CCP: still giving carebears invincible I.W.I.N. buttons? Is your alliances logistics team living the dream and getting random handies, or have they been mysteriously offline for a couple of weeks now? Has your industrial wings managed to cope, or have they just pulled up stakes and moved everything to empire?

It has been about a month, so the hysteria that greeted the change should have faded. Has it been good, bad or indifferent? More or less PvP? Where does CCP need to go from here to 'fix' the game for small gang entities? Are they there, or has it gotten worse?

What regions are you active in?
    Carebear, Solo, Scrub, ~Elite~?
Impact on you from the change?
    Opinion?

    Fountain/Delve
Scrub (with a bit of carebear and solo)

Other than needing to fix 5 regions worth of bookmarks, I personally haven't really noticed much of a change. Gate camps/roaming gangs haven't really increased in Fountain, and the Delve Thunderdome was already good for small gang pvp. I have heard that the Eye of Terror is pretty dangerous at the moment. However, it isn't clear to me how much of that is due to the change making choke points obvious, and how much is due to someone (hostile or otherwise) actually living between Fountain and Deklein. I also noted that we replaced our logistics director this month.

Without knowing exactly what CCPs goal was it is hard to know if it is being reached. The change has added some temporary annoyance in terms of bookmarks, and it is a bit slower to get around, but nothing overly onerous to me. However, I haven't really noticed any improvement in small gang roam success, or even activity. (Maybe it is my playtime/timezone, or summer doldrums though.) My feeling is that this experiment was a lot of work for everyones logistic team and hasn't accomplished it's assumed small gang pvp goal. If their actual goal was to destroy Eye-of-Terror like JB networks, it is marginally successful as it now takes more logistic effort to keep them fueled, but is it still about 20 minutes from Fountain to Deklein. (Presumably... I use jump clones anyways.)

The JB change doesnt go far enough -- there's still too many JBs everywhere.

That said, it's been more fun.

    Area: Deklein/surrounding area
    Status: Scrub
Impact: Absolutely none, I don't live in 0.0, I just pew pew, and I stick with the fleet. If we're regularly going more than 10 jumps out, we create a new base of operations anyways.
Opinion: JBs were already non-sandboxy since we couldn't build the exact network we wanted, they've just taken it a step further. Literally the only people which I assume is affected are non-bitter-vets/poor scrubs who actually have to eke out a living, who might as well just go back to empire for non-pew activities. And it's not like it was ~impossible~ to camp a JB as it was, so meh, whatever.

What regions are you active in? Venal previously, currently Delve.
Carebear, Solo, Scrub, ~Elite~? Non-sweater wearing chill pvp
Impact on you from the change? To be quite honest, negative. Takes far longer for defense fleets to form up which means it takes longer to get a fight.
Opinion? Its not really a welcome change but it's really not gamebreaking. Apathy is my opinion.

Opinion:I have a hard time seeing how this was a big nerf except when it came to bringing capitals into a jammed system. I imagine most of the so-called tears were those of the duders in charge of having to redesign multi-alliance network. I feel like this change, like many others before and to come, addressed the wrong problem. I've never been much into camping, though, so hanging around chokepoints isn't my thing anyway so maybe I'm not in the best position to offer my opinion

Region: Fade/PB until a few days ago.
    Profession: Scrub tackler
Impact: Honestly, the only the things that impacted me were: outdated bookmarks and constantly having to pull up the new map to remember what bridges went where.
Opinion: I think keeping caps from moving in under the jammer is the biggest strategic change. On one hand, I think that makes defense harder, which is good. On the other hand, aren't we looking for more incentives to hold sov? Overall, though, I am happy with the cap restrictions and larger fuel bay, but I still feel that the one person system thing was both pointless and hurt the grunt more than the alliance (much like the anom nerf).

Opinion: running into more blobs then ever only diff is that you now meet them close to JB systems, i guess if there wouldn't be CVA space i'd have quit by now. ECM is getting more and more onto my nerves as enough scrubs are now flying with recon V falcons. I didn't whine about blobs 2 years ago, but now that the average blob has 5 recons, 2 instalocking t3's and tons of scrubships it's getting horribly annoying to play. Moving into a C5 next week, hope that the game get's fun with that again.

Now i have to burn my own Jumpfuel on my JF instead of burning my Alliances LO.

    Opinion?
Still unsure what the point of the nerf was, it made using JB's a tad more annoying and did not much else for me.

The people that complained the most and cried louder no longer hold space.

I'm living in Tenal atm, but I'm so used to using carriers to go back and forth that I haven't given much thought to a JB network. I guess that people that mine/build stuff are the ones that might get hit the most.

    To answuer your q:

What regions are you active in? Live in Tenal/Branch usually
Carebear, Solo, Scrub, ~Elite~? I'm ~Elite~. Don't know of what, but that I am.
Impact on you from the change? - None. Didn't use 'em before so the changes are irrelevant to me.
    Opinion? - meh

What regions are you active in? The left half of EVE

    Solo,~Elite~

Impact on you from the change? I undock more, though i still don't roam, I look at the links in a regions JB network and pick the area that I think will get the most traffic and hang out.

Opinion? This is the first thing that CCP has done in years to promote small gang warfare, now 2-3 guys can go and isolate a constellation for a short time until the defense gang gets too big.

The most major JB network in the game was taken offline by Russia, before the nerf could set in.

In addition, Incursions seem to be popping up at inconvenient times and inconvenient places, wrecking JB networks with their arrival. Those Sansha seem to hate Deklein and PB...

Impact on you from the change? Not much personally. For the first few days the gates in between JBs were camped pretty heavily and regularly but it tampered off to previous levels in about a week. Now every once in awhile the gate between two jb systems will get camped (once every 2-3 days) for an hour or so. I can still go around the gatecamps if I really want to do something immediately, it just takes more time and effort. I make my ISK in highsec and my personal play area in 0.0 is limited to 8 or so jumps from any of the stations I stage out of, so I don't really notice the travel time because of the relatively short distances I travel on my own. In fleet I notice the time spent sitting on a POS/gate/titan and being told not to talk a lot more than any travel times with or without jump bridges.

Opinion? It seemed mostly like a placebo effect that got people to at least try to kill people moving around again for awhile. But it didn't really kill anything and as long as it makes some players happy while others are indifferent I guess that's a good change. Especially now that all the sov has been claimed/transferred and the new networks are up I think a lot of the pain has passed. I wish they had increased the fuel capacity a bit more (100k m3) or made the logistics of maintaining them a bit friendlier.

If CCP truly wanted to nerf Supercaps they wouldn't have nerfed JB networks, which pretty much only affected sub-cap fleets; the exception being cynojammed systems which all still have their 1 JB. If anything, I've noticed an increase in Titan bridge usage but even that has been only to a small degree.

    Time for a review anyone?
Is hunting wabbits easier now that they have to use a gate every now and then? I live down south in a shitty region as you know, so there are around 2 jump bridges i use occasionally. the lack of raging on forums leads to believe the "nerf" was a good thing or did not have any noticeable impact.

    also:
Another issue of modules becoming offlined has been resolved. A case of characters being stuck when logging into the Captain's Quarters has been fixed.
Thanks, i thought it was odd that i seemed to have no tank at all, then i showed my passive mods and realized they were all offlined.
No one wants to be stuck in the captain's log. i did deactivate "walking in stations" 2 days after it's release - any news?

Impact on you from the change? fucking epicly fun, a lot more gate traffic and fun to setup camps from and on jump bridges.
Opinion? id love for jump bridges to be nerfed a little more, maybe a lot more on the ranges or constellation wise. but so far not unhappy with the current nerf. notorious.killmail.org.

This is exactly what I said in the big eveo thread, and CCP hammer or some other gobshite just said "fights aren't meant to be even".

That's not what I meant retards. I meant exactly what you are saying Atticus.
