Pandemic LegionThe armies of the apathetic grew with the tales of victory and glory, the inane flocked to join the ranks of King Brent, for glory, for riches, and to admire his newly acquired jeggings.
The King had dispatched his most able-bodied scouts to survey the lands ahead, wary of the growing notoriety of his army, and the attention it would attract.
"SIRE!", a freshly returned scout shouted, as he rode in on horseback, bareback. The King erected himself, and then stood.
"What is it my boy?"
"The mercenary army of purple is heading for us!", the scout replied, unable to disguise the sense of urgency in his voice, though obviously distracted by the Kings glorious body.
"Ah, did you cast gaze on their armaments?", the King enquired.
"No, Sire. Though I can be sure they have no women among their ranks.", the boy responded.
"Phillistines..." the king muttered.
The King stepped out of his tent, a robe falling from the sky onto his outstretched arms, covering his chiseled body, dispatched by Odin himself as a mercy on the men in the encampment.
"MY GENERALS, COME!", the king bellowed.
Jester, Lime Thodii, and Fat Pussy assembled around the King. Jester beamed at his beloved King, recovered from his last skirmish, and made to serve as the kings personal fluffer, he was proud.
"Gather our men, we must at once ride to battle with the Phillistine armies of Purple. They may be fragile of will, as they have not felt the warmth of a woman's crotch in many months. We can use this to our advantage", the King explained.
"We should send forth the peasant women, to hold them down. They are honour bound not to strike them, my King", the Jester pointed out.
"Yes...and while they are pinned, our armies would be poised to strike them down, with impunity", the King acknowledged.
The armies of King Brent rode out, fronted by a large contingent of fertile women, whom had all felt the glory of Brent, some, many times.
The armies did not waste time with formations, they had sighted each other, and the advance was of two great tidal waves racing to meet, wherein they would inevitably collide causing a tremendous amount of carnage.
Suddenly! A chasm appeared between the armies so vast, and deep, that it could only herald one thing: Sreegs was here...
The foul beast Sreegs appeared, riding from the abyss his dark, leprosy, and scab-ridden horse, 'Michael Bolton'. Legends had only whispered of this dark deviant, and his thick beard, situated ONLY on his neck, and posterior.
The peasant women fell to their doom, throwing the armies of Brent into disarray. King Brent was astounded by the turn of events. He must rally his men and fall back, lest the foulness of Sreegs corrupt their delicate hearts.
The King commanded his armies to pull back. He was watching the Phillistine armies grappling with the filth that is Sreegs, salvaging their own losses. The king knew their army would be cut off from his, but, were they to survive the encounter with the darkness, they would one day, meet again, and do battle on a glorious field. Their army was to be respected, and the King sighed, knowing he may yet have to cull them soon.
King Brent rallied his men in the plains, safe from the foulness that they had past encountered. He worked to raise their morale, reciting jokes, speaking of his conquests of women, and, milking horses of their essence, to provide his men with body lotions to repair their cracked and dry skin. The men enjoyed the sensual rubbings.
The King slept lightly that night, visions came to him, fortelling him of his next foe. A plague upon the lands, a foe that lavishes everything around them in gold, without honour, without compassion, and merciless.
"....Technetium-Jews...." was the only name he could hear in his head for days. He knew not of these creatures, or where they hailed from. Only that he must fight them, and soon.
A new day dawned, the good King Brent stood in his tent looking over a map of the lands and information that was collected by his best scouts.
His visions had come to fruition, a mighty plague was near, and he knew in the depths of his balls that he must best this adversary in combat, to lay claim to the throne.
He was not worried though. The foe, for all its evils was no match of him and his loyal men.
The Technetium-Jews are mysterious, rumored to be thieves of the highest order, with the most elite mercenaries guarding their vast hoards of riches they carry with them.
They bribe, and cheat their way through their foes, sowing disunity in their enemies ranks, buying loyalty from soldiers, and corrupting their generals into treason, with vast chests of rare sexual devices.
They could corrupt anyone, and any army...
...but not this Kings army. Not his steadfast and sturdy men. Brent's men can NOT be corrupted!
For they have all drank from the fountain of glory, and driven by the powers of syphilis it imbued in them, they developed a feverish loyalty to strong King Brent.
King Brent knew he must attack now, the Technetium-Jews preparations were not complete.
He did not bother with finesse, planning or thinking. King Brent said: "This must be a swift, decisive battle, with no chance for the vulgar liars to talk", to his Jester. He summoned his three most atrocious barbarian commanders; Lime Thodii, Tveir Dreadnaughts Booley, and Fita Kisa.
He explained that they must charge together, and strike at the same foe, to cripple it before the foul words can corrupt their minds. They must be fast, and efficient, and they must take only their most elite men.
The day preparations saw the king mount his stud, and when the men were all secured with earmuffs, he withdrew his sword, and mounted his steed, aptly named Sleipnir. A gift from his old drinking friend, Odin.
He gave a rousing and powerful speech, but it fell on deaf ears, giving him the advantage against these powerful wordsmiths. His men, deaf to words couldn't be corrupted with lies and reason. He smiled, swung his arm forward to motion "advance", and his army did charge towards the Technetium-Jews camp, with amazing speed. Charged with furor to kill this foul enemy, the men powered forward with all the power of syphilis they could muster in their loins.
Gold Bars and heavy jewels smashed into the ground with tremendous power, the devious Technetium-Jews were attempting to distract the men with wealth, while at the same time, attempting to kill them with it.
This was something no man had seen before, such a display of opulence and confidence in the greed of men.
The Technetium-Jews had chosen the wrong foe for kind this attack.
Brent's army swiftly descended upon the Technetium-Jews, and for all their gold, lies, and malice, they could not stop their siege engines being annihilated by the sexually charged, ravenous, elite squad that served the good King Brent.
The battle was quickly turning to the favour of King Brent, though far from over.
When, unexpectedly, the Technetium-Jews ascended to the skies! fleeing the battlefield!
They had demon machines to save them, and yet by doing so, they abandoned their mercenary men to die to the forces of the majestic King Brent.
He looked skyward, and ordered his men to loose arrows at the cowards, but they moved quickly towards the heavens on their demon contraptions, escaping injury and honour.
King Brent cursed the ill-moraled deviants, he knew that they would not be caught, and that they would amass another filthy force with their wealth and lies...
...But alas, he could do naught...
King Brent, after bedding the last of the women from the dentists tents frolicked among his men. Never had the army felt so inspired. The warriors stood around, exclaiming at the fabulous wealth they had overcome to secure a victory on this field. inspired with confidence, they drank heartily.
Brent stood with his men, and drank with them. He proclaimed many times: "You're all my sons, and when I rule, you will find your names, and families, honoured for all time".
The men cheered, and the drinking continued for days...

I cannot speak for the AT, but on TQ, any armor ship that can be expected to take fire for a minute or more will benefit more from the reactive hardener than a second EANM if you have armor ganglinks running. The combination of "take fire for a minute" and sizeable amount of capacitor it needs to work naturally favours larger hulls, so on a fleet warfare level it should be considered a no-brainer on any brick tank T3s, capitals and supercapitals. Devoters and Phobosesisesi could see a benefit, as well as some tank-heavy armor battleships. In the case of small gangs, I'd fit it to anything instead of a second EANM even without links if I had a logistics with me, and wouldn't consider it without.
I feel like in the case of supercaps that it would be detrimental because most people are using a mix of fighter bombers dealing a mix of damage types and you're being shot by a mix of titans with different damage types from their guns. Aren't you handicapping yourself in this instance? You're not going to get a full minute of just one damage type in that situation.

Yet if you run into a doctrined fleet with a specific damage type, the opposite occurs does it not?
Different strokes for different folks.. and situations.

does this module even out your resists if you're taking omni damage?
Ron Mexxico - Broski North
Helios Black > not mad ron
MOST titans you'll actually take fire from are erebus and avatars, and as far as fighterbombers most people carry tyrfings because they put damage on target before the other 3 types and thats really what matters most in cap warfare: Applying damage to target first and hardest.
That said most super pilots that have a clue as to what they're doing carry 2-3 fitting options, combat, cap, passive combat, in the case of titans thats both blap and full tank, ect.
Of course the same goes for all capitals. If you deploy dreads and carriers and your dreads aren't smart enough to carry their alternate blap fit in their cargo then you are in essence doing it wrong.
In a worse case scenario where you take exactly the same amount of damage from four damage types (ie, the resistances from the hardener don't shift), the fact it is not stacking penalized makes it behave like a c-type eanm. Since that doesn't happen and you'll usually take two damage types (sometimes three), the shift makes the module behave like an a-type if not better. In the best case scenario, it's just better than anything else.
Hence my reasoning.
Yes.
But to tank omni damage should you already have close to omni resistances, because it can even out only so much.
If the gaps are too big will it likely get stuck in a 30%/30% setting with the other two resistances at 0%/0%, because it is not smart enough to change only one resistance. It always wants to change two at a time. So you want to have all or at least three resistances to be above 50% and also not more than 10% apart for it even them out.
Given I'm now a TEST Betting AdminI feel it is my rightful duty to let everyone know that the next round of AT battles are open for betting.

I've noticed that there's a pretty big disconnect between the general consensus of kugu and what's actually happening. It seems enough people have said it in this thread that people are taking it as fact.

So... who qualifies from Group H?
Fuck all rotes, fuck all PLs
Poor RvB![]()
To be honest in any other group RvB would have come through no questions asked
The worst part is if RvB hadn't lost that proteus to a disconnect in their match against Rote they would've gotten through.

So I just watched BL's matches, having been off on vacation for a week (and unlike some of the turbo-nerdlingers here, when I go AFK from EVE, I'm gloriously AFK).
Seeing how it all played out, I was reminded of Major League 2, "Oh no, we suck again!"
Mfume Apocal - Origin. - Black Legion.
Feel for RvB, but as many on EVE-O have pointed out, they've earned a massive amount of respect for how well they did this year. They went from a "joke/gimmick" alliance to one of the frontrunners, no doubt.
Spaceship friends don't let other spaceship friends madpost.
For being a frontrunner, I would have thought that they would have made it to the top 3. The real shock for me is that -A- didn't make it very far. I guess having the Americans, such as Makalu or PK, would have helped a fair bit in getting further into the tourney and winning it.
