Fielding supers has nothing to do with isk when you already own them. 2) SoCo will just take everything back when CFC/PL leave.

Maybe, but as it stands right now SoCo is in position of lose a big portion of their coalition due to inactivity. If you want to keep morale up you need fights of any sort and fights you can win. There are plenty of ways such a big coalition can take the fight to CFC, dying on the station undock is NOT one of them.

Even if you can assemble 200 man BS gang you can go north and reinforce many tech moons, which at the moment are hardly defended. This would force the CFC to split their force. You can kill their JB's/cyno gens camp them in their own space etc etc etc. No doubt the CFC will respond to your actions, not sure what the response will be but it cant be any worse than what the CFC is doing to SoCo now.

3) PL cant do anything on their own anymore

Eve has changed, what worked before does not anymore, PL along with many others have been forced to adapt. Even if all they do is log in FC's and spy alts they have already proven their worth on the field, add their capability to log in 50+ supers at any given moment who probably have more Supercap experience than anyone in the game. Which in turn will bring out the supers from their allies who know that if PL is fielding theirs it means that most likely they are not going to die in a fire with Rydis or whatever at the helm.

4) -A- is shit and SoCo is dead.

Anyone that thinks -A- is shit should try to fight them on their own, toe to toe they are capable and likely in the top 5 alliances in EvE. Their weakness comes from SoCo's lack of coordination. If and this is a big IF Solar/Gypsy and their close friends come to help the rest of SoCo, the numbers game will not assure CFC the win. One thing Solar/Gypsy are good at is fighting and helping their allies find their balls. Last time we saw this was in the DRF conflict the numbers fielded by SoCo reminded us of the CFC, however unlike the CFC SoCo's main players are far more capable pilots than the average CFC member.

The reason I say IF Solar/Gypsy move down is we just dont know how close these entities are to each other, Mactep/Herk know divided they are weaker than their enemies and yet they still insists on fighting 2 different wars both of which they themselves started. Which brings the question is there a big bad SoCo in there somewhere? Or are they at this point 2 separate coalitions that once worked together which seems to be the case right now.

EDIT: And what's wrong with putting titans or supers which are purchased by alliance isk if the person is active? Most of the time this is high end leadership because fuck putting it into the hands of some scrub who's been there for a couple months.

How else would you spend the isk if there is a surplus?

I personally have an alliance super carrier and an alliance titan I fly.

We pretty much did on their last deployment to CR when we were capping it For EXE.

-FA- came out about 50/50 against them. That says a lot because we're fucking horrible at EVE.

Well, Solar and Gypsy are focusing their attention on defending Geminate from NCdot. The rest of Solar's pets IRC/ED are basically helping them on that by attacking SONE in Kalevala to limit their participation in Geminate.
Personally if I were Solar, I'd just let Geminate burn, let the pets burn (what else are they for anyways), help SoCo put their shit together (if that's even possible at this point) and then once it's settled I'd go back and clean up the backyard.

But in practise the situation is probably way more complicated considering I don't know all the background politics and shit.

Because right now I think the only way that they could keep SoCo together behind them would be to throw Maka under the bus, mollify the rest of SoCo with an "our bad", and try to reorganize to actually *defend* something? Hand some control over to someone who knows how to fight (???), even if it means a dude from raiden or whatever is head FC? Probably use the rest of querious as a buffer for time (throw RA to the wolves since they let themselves be headshot by a spy). Then work to defend catch and period basis, with CFC-style promises to split space equitably with everyone on your side when you turn the tide around.

I don't get how anyone with a brain looks at dominion sov mechanics and the huge advantage it gives defenders and says, fuck it, we're not going to fight for anything. An unopposed supercap force can take a region every week, your opponent is not going to get bored *that* fast. It's like this shit used to work in the POS era, where taking down Sov4 constellations with a zillion towers, plus getting logistics to put up your own, was real work.

The AAA "strategy" of packing everything up to Stain and running empire missions for 3 months until people have forgotten about them is asinine. Giving up all that alliance-level income, moons and renters, for half a year is waaaaay more than the cost of welping a couple big fleets.
