Except that we've had approaches from no less than three ncdot corps looking for a way out. Two of them were pretty OK and were looking to move together. I believe that I can safely say that the other was a laughably bad ncdot corp without the risk of exposing them by narrowing the field down too much.

However, there are so few people (long time members) who are UNWILLING to join gangs and fleets even if fcs are ready and willing and actively run roams / ops.

Edit for another little detail of the unalloyed joy of life: MMMS were complaining that Vince accused them of sitting in their own comms, so their leadership told them just to idle in NCdot's afk channel to make him think that they were obeying his orders, saying that they knew members weren't used to having to put up with NCdot's "pointless conversations".
