The doublespeak and word twisting in the mail is appalling.

The worst thing IMO is that he is willing to drop everything and split up a group of cool dudes because Evolution promised him free shit. The only good side effect of this is that the people who want to contribute nothing and still be handed free shit are probably going to jump ship, essentially moving the non-contributors out of Diat.

Either way, let's hope this isn't going to become:

Evolution lied.
Concordiat died.

Hey all - welcome to Evol

A bunch of evol guys had/have been flying with DIAT for a long time now - we've been looking to do more with Sec and the crew for a while so it's awesome they have decided to merge in with us.

With regards to the tax business, it's quite a mind shift but the system works. I've not bought a ship in two years now and have never had any problems getting hold of the stuff I want. If you play eve to make your wallet bigger then yeah, the hightax rate sucks - if the isk is just a means to an end then it works well.
Inactive numbers in evol are pretty high - but they don't really have an impact on the game. As sec said, we don't really have leadership breathing down our necks - people are free to do pretty much whatever they want and we get to fly with the rest of init (which is fucking awesome in itself!).

All I can suggest the guys in concordiat do is give it a try - at the end of the day you loose nothing really. If it's shit here you can just move on, it's not a one-way gate. Despite my periodic random sulks I'm still in evol because of the people here - we have a good, tight-knit community and if nothing else, life is never dull.

Does anyones employment history really matter that much? Maybe it did once upon a time but if you look at most corps/alliances there are people from formerly hostile entities in all of them. I've always thought that being known as a complete and utter dick is more of a bad thing than your employment history - the counterpoint is that being know as fairly chill and not a complete dick opens doors regardless.

The tax is moot anyway: the main means of making ISK in curse are plexing, officer/faction spawn hunting, Angel mission LP and loot, none of which are taxed.

No, he moved to Curse, oversaw EVOL getting sorted into INIT, joined a fleet or two, and since then he's been p much inactive. Actually, he gained some respect from me for seeing his corp right instead of just walking away and leaving them to rot as so many CEOs do.

Molle is still about - he hangs out with us on IRC and our internal forums, he just doesn't play eve that much. Partly it's due to where he lives (unreliable net connection) and partly due to burn out. Like him or not he's "done" a lot of stuff in eve and to be honest it's suprising he's not burnt out sooner.

He's set the corp up to still function ok - we have active approachable directors and our internal culture is such that if you can rabble rouse to get people do do *something* and convince others it's a good idea you get the resources and people you need to make *it* happen. A case in point is Concordiat - initially three of us were clamoring to fly with them and over time we got more people on board.

Sorting us into Init has probably been one of the best things he's done - to be honest I was surprised that they even took us given the shambles we were in post-Delve. I'd like to think we are on the mend now - the injection of active independent-minded US tz will work wonders for the corp, as will the return of a good sized contingent of euros that left a while back.

Angle lp are where the money is at - dram BPCs always sell well. You get plenty of anoms in curse too if you can deal with the marauding Darkside gangs.
