Honestly, I don't know. I never paid any attention to them up until about fall of 2010. Perpetuum's a totally different game, with mechanics that are similar but not identical. But there are no serious, developed powerblocs to fund them (or anyone for that matter) and there are no end-all be-all robots, which have historically been two things PL has relied heavily on for success.

Not saying their subcap fleets are bad (they're pretty good) but Tengus cost a lot of money and nobody has that kind of funding in Perpetuum yet.

Well, we all play BC2 so idk how your game is. But Empire TW is pretty good. Just play as Prussia and take over the world. Just watch out for the Indians (from India). Sometimes they go hogwild and invade France.

PL had kept out of the fight letting Arcane and some other small pet try and repel them without success. PL intervened when puppets started knocking on PNQYs door, they pretty much wiped out the tower spam invasion within a week and broke puppets.

that was my first knowledge of PL and considered them damn good as a 0.0 noob.

BF3 comes out in November I think? Gamestop is taking pre-orders. The local one here is up to 170 already.

Also, I'm coming back to Eve as soon as I can find the isk / spare $$ to reactivate. Is there anything actually happening in Eve atm? And I've read that Incarna was a total letdown and does nothing but run everyones shit too hot. Is this about right?

Tengus aren't cheap no but that's their new(ish) fleet comp. AHACs and Hellcats (baddons) were used a ton afore, and still plenty now and they're not really end-all-be-all break-the-bank comps.
