Unless my assumptions are seriously off, that's still only 1/10 or less of the tech output for static assets/sov costs and even if the costs are two, three or even five times higher that still leaves a metric fuckton of leftover Tech.

Actually, if you look back at our finances, which I don't think wastes that much isk unnecessarily, you'll see that moongoo isn't covering the entire bill. If I'm interpreting it correctly, we're also spending more than your estimation on the NC JB system on just running things in deklein, and I like to think that we've got a much more moderate JB network than what made CCP crap their pants.

So I think that while tech and JBs are highly visible posts you can guesstimate your way to, chances are you'll underestimate the costs and overestimate the income. Not that I'm trying to say NC hasn't screwed the pooch or RMTd the isk or whatever, I'm just saying it's not necessarily as cut'n'dried as we're napkin-calculating our way to.

So the call of "friendly supers tackled" doesn't create tactical interest? The best things that CCP did with the super buff were to give them enough DPS to actually put on the field and enough HP to survive long enough to be a tactical objective. The DD is broken and is frankly a mechanic borne of an era where fleets consisted of heterogenous sniper BS without a particular lynchpin.

The (AOE) DD was broken to start with according to CCP. They can't win.

This, which is why I'm never going to understand why GSF ally with the gaggle of retards that is the NC. Had yesterdays fight occured in a GSF system it would have transpired differently and how it's supposed to. Something like PL losing its fleet trying to take down a jammer that was never going down, then all the other alliances being mopped up. Rounded off by some pleasantries in local from the victors for the losers to read through as they waited for their client to acknowledge the fact they had been podded.

But I don't *get* GSF so why they do it can remain a mystery. In the meantime I'll log in and wait for the likes of Yaay to surprise me with the next retarded antic he's going to pull from his bottomless bag.

NC fleets have been terrible for months now, there hasn't been a single big victory that would even come close to actually threatening the enemy.

The NC actually helps their own downfall, they destroy their own morale and are actually boosting their adversaries confidence to use supers every day.

Could be a great plan if you had 300 supers hiding somewhere.

But oh, most high command/ceo's have a handful to a dozen personal supers, what is that about?

Somehow, the average NC grunt still thinks, "well, when Tribute gets hit, it will all change".

Oh common, last time Tribute got hit, it didn't consist of 100+ confident super caps going against it.
At that time yes, NC had their own super rape train that was pretty unstoppable.
Now it's nowhere to be found and even if it was, that number isn't even close to matching the current supers it would be up against.

Imho, the only thing you need to do to let the NC burn is just take a couple of stations, preferably staging systems such as h-w, umi, 15w in Tribute.

Do that, and all the people saying "once tribute is hit, the NC is going to magically
form up and burn their enemies to the ground" will drown in their own words.

Used to be a bad idea when the NC was still winning fights but circumstances have changed.

Once that last bit of hope has been destroyed, stuff will start fail cascading from there.

What the NC did wrong in my eyes:
- Train your FC's, train probers, train scouts, train people to do a good job instead of assigning an important task like that to a random drunken grunt that pisses you off cuz he doesn't listen to orders.
- High command main priority should have been to put loyal grunts with skills knowledge and time to fly one in a super.

Like it or not, it's supercap online, whatever subcap fleet is out there, in the end it's the supers that will win the objective.

It was quite smart of the DRF to hit Tribute "a bit, but not really": It got the NC into defense mode, Horn of the Goondragoon, etc. - but then nothing happened. They just waited out the heavy participation surge, and used low-stake fights to work on the NC morale while not providing any high-morale targets. Next time they hit Tribute, participation will be lower. Partly because "oh, them again", partly because the allies get less and less interested in helping the NC.

Not sure if this was fully intended, but it sure works out nicely.

The NC have at least as many titans and roughly the same amount of supers as the opposition, so why are we not seeing them fielded?

simple, different from PL's fleet policy about titans the NC have loads of Levis, Rags, Wyverns and Hels (lol), and we all know what happens to Rags and Hels in supercap fights...
The pilots of those titans (everyone except Sala, props for always fighting!) know that they are likely to die in a large scale supercap slugfest (Sala knows he is 100% sure to die), even if the NC comes out on top!
Thus said pilots somehow mysteriously disappear leaving the non retards in real supercaps alone badly outnumbered, those pilots notice they are outnumbered and in turn go off riding bikes leaving a whooping 3 titans to defend a system

Death's top-quality spy network is based on him sitting in GFAllies with the Fountain alliances in question listening to the chatter from various people, and some have different suggestions to others: the unwillingness of the NC to adopt a uniform fleet doctrine or to decide on one person to run the show has frustrated various people.

That said, if you sit in the NC's equivalent jabber channel you'll see the odd NC top brass type saying that they should reset GSF as well, which would certainly save us a bunch of fruitless trips to save badly-timed towers and badly-flown supers, but it hasn't stopped us trying to save the remaining dudes in Razor and MM who have been our friends for years. Plus, after those fruitless trips we tend to get some decent fights with NCDot or PL, so that's been fun and worth the journeys.
