Supercaps played a part in Atlas' downfall sure, but it was the subcaps that broke their spirit, losing 100's of ships for less than 10 repeatedly (particularly at that time) were by far the largest factor. Supercaps just meant the cleanup went quickly. But because people blame hax, bots and mechanics they dont see that, so they never actually do anything about the core problems they're having as they've all too easily convinced themselves its not their own fault.
This isn't to say I don't enjoy reading the hillarious theories that people manage to conceive in their desperation.

I think your numbers are wrong, since 80% of all bots operate in hisecs, drone regions can't have 50% of them.
And then, if CCP start doing smthing vs bots, they'll probably start with mining ones, that are easier to track, and this will boost drones. Drone regions are wasteland anyway, this not gonna get worse but it might get better.
Vale has technetium, is NPC space and has NC as neighbors (don't forget Psihozz has a passion towards NC) - three reasons for WN to move in. So there is no mystery why WN would want to move to Vale. The question is if they really gonna do it.
i dont know captain personally i have stopped using corp/alliance reimburstment a while ago as the game is much more fun when dying, losing a abaddon and being given a new fully fitted one for free/less than 15 mil gets pretty boring after a while.
