i really think this is going to be MEs chance to redeem themselves in the eyes of the EVE pvp community, really look their attackers in the face and proudloh god i can't finish it

Very disappoint that Dystopia was screwed by the lottery fairy.

It should really have been at least the final 8 or possibly even final 16 of last year's to get a free ticket.

it looks like not as many fake alliances as usual, though those still annoy me. fights without drama are 'meh' to me.

I shall baffle you with science. If it has no energy whatsoever, it would not exist. THEREFORE, there must be some energy, even if it is the energy from all the hot air, friction from people leaving, and convection from random fail RPing. The weightless object bit i agree with completely however.

Lot of first time teams though.....gonna be interesting....Also, no ROL or FAIL (granted ROL on reserve, but still.....)

As Faife already said, PL proper is prequalified. It's just a B team. I also heard a while ago that Waffles have their own team as well, but looks like the lottery fairy decided that two PL teams are enough.

some amusing or interesting pairs:

the r0nin vs ushra'khan now - that will be interesting.

rote kapelle vs black legion - err. interesting too. could be the best one to watch that day.

aggrevated assault vs sev3rance - interesting from a certain point of view.

my favorite: lack of imagination VS atlasDOT - lol ccp was that intentional? (not trying to ridicule the atlas team here, good luck gents)

Pretty sure TT couldn't participate anyways due to his brief stint in PL, if I understand the rules correctly.

It would be nice to see NTRabbit, one of the highest SP players in the game rocking an iteron again though.

Also, if the finals come down to GoonSwarm vs PL, then CCP should basically ban PL from the AT's for a year, let someone else get the faction ships and shit.

Rumors are its a PL B-team, maybe they want to win first and second place, I dunno. Sniggwaffles alliance (formerly goonswarm) is now in an alliance called FREE CARTOON NOW or some crap, so I have no clue who is actually in goonswarm.

Daymn! This should have been PL private tournament for them to see who rules supreme

But of course it´s nice that people of eve and ccp have gathered a big bundle of goodies for them to take home, and dont forget the title.

Just PL and Goonswarm. As Grim says, swigg relied on getting in through the draw and lost out, Genos may or may not even come back after the tourney, and Tyrrax only joined PL briefly before returning to Dystopia (who as you say, didn't get in anyway).
