tgbyhn, weekend is about to start though I'm still confused over this alliance you have with NoTech... http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=14428667
For the uninformed masses, it would seem the mobilization is to push the Geminate front harder. Solar will need to step up their game as they are encountering the same fleet comps that the CFC bashed into but I have no doubt that they will.
I've noticed that there's a pretty big disconnect between the general consensus of kugu and what's actually happening. It seems enough people have said it in this thread that people are taking it as fact.
Not that it's difficult to fight a 2 front war when only one side hits you at a time. I see a grand total of 1 timer atm on our side so it's pretty easy to bounce back and forth.

Get out of here with your "facts" and "proof," tgbyhn's renter alliance was told they were siding with NCdot and that's the way it is!
Haha AlphaFleet what is this bring your grandma's fleet comp to work day xd

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

There's nothing I can think of offhand, shy of putting hard limits on how many people each side can bring (and fuck that idea right in the mouth), which would do anything other than favor the side with more warm bodies. This isn't a problem I really see a point in solving, as it's been the case in eve for god knows how long, and in fact is one aspect of eve which I find makes eve awesome. What needs fixing, however, is how easy it is for a defender to be able to defend on two (or more) fronts. Sure, it'll probably burn them out a bit having to move back and forth, but you can't get away from the fact that you have a fair bit of time with which to prepare the defense of each side of your space. Remove this, and smaller entities have a bigger chance of being able to take space away from someone, somewhere, because the defenders are busy elsewhere.
I don't think I'm saying you can ever get rid of human nature (as you say, sov battles pre-dominion also showed this), however CCP could at the very least try to make the sov mechanics at least try to incentivize not just derping around in a huge blob. One thing's certain, though, today's system does not work in this fashion, at all.
With the amount of fights we have been getting against SOLAR and CFC over sov and moons, I would dare to say that there is nothing wrong with SOV mechanics. CCP launched this game forward so much when they fixed the lag that was causing so much of the issues that made SOV war unenjoyable.
One can observe that when there are 2 sides who are not too asymetric in raw force and they are both not cowards, SOV war can actually be fun.
For me, since 2010, it was never the SOV mechanics that made this game so bad at times, it was the technical limitations of the server. We truly live in a golden age of big fleet PvP at the moment and it shows on the killboard.
Now we just have to get rid of mining plexes and ratting anomalies, so making ISK in 0.0 stops being safer than making ISK in empire, and small scale PvP becomes more viable again. Unfortunately CCP tried to address that by making bearing in empire even more safe![]()
I'll never admit that the current sov system is better than the previous, save the 90 moon systems.
NCDot isn't at war with Solar. The war is long over. We aren't contesting their Sov captures and are only moderately, if that, protecting Tech in Geminate and use them for fights.
No, it isn't.
If you don't think 1200 man fleetfights are awesome every once in a while, then you're not much of a nerd. 1200 man fleetfights in and of themselves aren't a problem, the problem is when 1200 man fleetfights become mandatory.
So one dude gets called out for being in Morsus Miihhhii
And the thread spirals into an argument into about nullsec NPCing
Predictably derp..

K-6 was the I-Hub coming out tonight. Goons sent around maybe 150 to 200 drakes to take the jammer down. Logged on their supers and was ready to reinforce the IHUB.
NCdot was 6 jumps away removing sbus in UMI, actually expecting the drakes to come for us. We get word they are on the jammer POS and being done taking down sbus in UMI we burn to engage their drake fleet with around 70 man naga fleet. We knew that the CFC has a Tornado fleet sitting on the titan but we did not know what they were planning. As we get 2 jumps out tornados cyno into the same system we are in. Order are given to jump into l-v, where the drake fleet was already in warp to our in gate.
Most of our fleet gets off the gate prior to bubbles going up and the drakes landing. We lose maybe 5 to 10 dudes. After regrouping and being told the bubbles are down we warp back to the gate but there is no drakes, and no tornados. We begin to align out when gate activation and the tornados begin to jump into our naga fleet. this is the start of the proper engagement.
Tornados go down as fast as they are broadcast and a hero dictor catches the hostile drake fleet way off us. We continue burning away blapping drakes huggins and scimis till someone in our fleet warps Twinky off the field, so we all bail.
At this point our blue badhac gang shows up and CFC drake gang bails to where they think they can bridge out on a titan, but we get a warp in so titan bails and they go into the POS shields. We remove the the SBU and rep the IHUB and the jammer that had not been destroyed yet and kill some legion of Xdeath bombers going after out naga gang, we lose 1 tornado to bombs.
We are getting ready to stand down because the CFC has not reformed to engage us tonight at this time.
Yeah, short BR on that kill.
I'm sitting around H-W waiting for another chance at a titan kill after missing the titan kills of previous days due to honing my 360noscope skills in Counterstrike Global Offensive, when my alliance chat lights up with reports of a shiny ass Rzr gang camping SF- with a boatload of bubbles, after much prodding I jumpclone back to E-B and get into my most hated ship... the Drake. I roll out with like 35 dudes at first and get to SF, blap their bubbles. I call in a prober and catch none of them. Eventually after much pointless chasing around the system they warp to the HB- gate at 0 and we follow them. With great courage Rzr engages when I was ready to go home. We pop the first proteus in a few seconds followed by their only Oneros, at this point they drop in two triage Thannys. I primary one and get it to like 1/3rd armor left. It starts to hold so we swap back to the support, everything was catching reps except the tech 3s for some reason. We kill a loki, then that shiny ass Proteus, followed by the odd ships out. At this point all my dictors are dead and NC. is two jumps away. The thannys get out along with a small portion of their fleet.
Gfgf and madprops for actually fighting.
This thread is getting big and i have to stop all you Olympic contenders on getting gold on the 100 page snipe event.
