In complete honesty I expected it to be very similar to Kugutsumen, but from the design of the site, the discussions I've had with the creator and the work I've seen him put in it seems like it will fill a niche of EVE sociopolitically that hasn't really been filled.
evenews24 is a similar site (and that's to be expected as the creator of Evewire previously worked for EN24). However, Evewire will be operating on a more traditional journalistic basis; recruited writers, as much effort as possible to fact-check, clear editorial control and clean content.
I like the idea of the site mostly because it's oppositional to the EN24 philosophy of pushing out the content for everyone to be updated immediately, even if the works created may not be clean or well-written; Evewire has chosen to take a more traditional approach and focus on high editorial standards and clear story delivery over on-the-spot content delivery.
I haven't included Kugutsumen in this comparison for two reasons; one, because I'm drunk, and two, because I don't think of Kugutsumen as a particularly journalistic entity. It's a social entity that revolves around the exchange of information.
Anyways, I'm actually pretty excited for a news site that isn't going to be full of factual inaccuracies and German spelling errors.

My entire corp groaned whenever some terrible redditor would mention or post "reddit faces" or other subsets of image macro, things which the average redditor seems to think is representative of 4chan yet in reality was considered funny for about five or six minutes, if at all.

TEST is kind of in idle mode. We don't have a goal other than to help goons or have good fights in delve/fountain areas. Most importantly, Ro3ber vanished once he took over. It seems like montolio is running things around. I thought they purged schoolyard but asked people to apply for it again.
