I thought it hadn't been moved at all? At least it was where I expected it to be from before. The only thing that I think has changed (that annoys me) is the capacitor is offset to the left.
In other news my main account still can't log in and I have like 8 hours of subscription left so I suppose my :tenbux: can go on something else
Like SA.com membership
They changed the colours of windows (slightly), and the colour of the capacitor, the tick mark on the dscan and how checkboxes are displayed. Minor things, really.
I couldn't find the session change timer, but admittedly I was mainly in 300-700 locals yesterday, so I might have just been loading. And I had my first genuine crash on jumping in. It was all pretty amusing - our fleet was losing 10 people to crashes every gate we jumped, including a fair few supercaps that immediately crashed on jump-in.
Did you look all the way in the upper left corner, f.ex after undocking? At least I seem to remember seeing a timer there. It looks slightly updated as well, but it's still a minor update.
You mean where it used to be? I remember being annoyed by it yesterday and checking that I still had it on, but I'll check again tonight. Someone else in this thread mentioned the session change timer had moved as well, so I figured that was why I was having a hard time. Top-right of system info box wouldn't be the same place as it used to be (which might be why I couldn't see it).
It seems to have moved a little to the right from where it used to be. It also flashes every second: Useful, if like me, you actually count the thing down.
Have missiles become targetable again, I noticed them having icons now.
Drake Nerf maybe.![]()
My character got totally bugged so when I tried to relog I got the following error message:
Your character has repeatedly failed loading on the server. This indicates a fault and support personnel need to be notified. Please file a petition.
Apologies for the inconvenience...
The EVE Dev Team.
It then dumped me into system with a black screen stuck at:
Entering System: Checking Navigation System
They then refused to offer any support due to the high load until local was below 100 a couple of hours later, at which point the teleported me to a random station, made me repackage and reassemble my ship, then teleported me back to the system while refusing to tell me where in system I would appear. I was fearing the gate I'd crashed on that was being camped by the time they'd got around to helping, fortunately it was onto a clear grid ( I'd got stuck at an e-warp so possibly there... checked by watching the gate I crashed at with an alt, trying to log back in when it was clear, didn't appear on gate and my ship was on scan, so maybe I appeared there but I didn't hang around to find out ).
My experience of CCP GM's is that they're jobsworths that make the minimum amount of effort to clear a petition ( e.g. probably not telling me where I'd appear because they don't know and can't be arsed to find out ), also if you ever dare to challenge them ( as I did since I wasn't too impressed at being forced to roll the dice on an expensive ship plus SP loss ) they get pretty aggressive.
I was puttering about today and I got some missiles shot at me. I didn't know they had done this and I shat myself as I believed that I was getting Bombs lobbed at me, but there wasn't anybody else in local to launch them.
I was very confused until I realized where they were coming from was the Missiles, but they use the exact same icon as a Bomb.
You might want to try setting a DEP exception for EVE. More here: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard...readID=1520400
Hope that helps.
Other bugs i noticed: "Show all brackets" resets to off after every jump. And some POS seem to be like 1.000.000 km away from the moon warp-in or the other way around.
Patch notes for today:
Client update #2 for Incursion 1.6, released June 1, 2011
* Clicking on the name of a probe will now center the camera on it again.
* Setting ship speed to full would result in the ship making a 180° turn. This will no longer happen.
* Missiles had acquired brackets by accident, they have now been removed. The missiles were not very happy about this, but they understand that it could have caused some lag in certain situations. As they are as invested as we are in your enjoyment, they have decided not to object to this decision.
Server side fixes for Incursion 1.6, released June 1, 2011
* Warping to moons now results in warping to the correct spot in space. This is where your Starbases are anchored.
* Bookmarks ended up in the wrong place and could not be approached. This has been corrected and you can now approach all your bookmarks.
* Bookmarks were in the wrong location on the system map. They have been properly chastised and moved back to their proper locations.
You can put all the quaint humour you want in your patch updates CCP but it had better make my account work
If anyone cares, CCP utterly broke PI this patch. What it looks like you're going to extract and what you actually end up extracting when you press submit are two completely different things. For example, I had a planet with lots of hotspots, each 200+ per cycle, submitted and they were extracting 0.0. Additionally, there's a vertical seam in the planet, and if your facilities cross it, they disappear.
I think it's a result of their flipping of the coordinate system, but I don't know for certain - that's just my guess of a change that seems small and innocuous, but in reality affects everything in the game (including T3's flying backwards).
Currently, I think this is the worst patch I've played through in terms of crazy, unrelated things breaking.
I just noticed that my JB bookmarks show up with "warp to" even though I'm within 10km of the JB I've bookmarked.
Not the bookmarks that are too close, so it's just the text that's coming up erroneous.
Is this a place where I can bitch about the overview glitches and see-through capacitor?
so, uh, how do you clean your cache like the gms say to?
THE GREATEST POSTER
So I heard soundwave supposedly pontificated on what kind of shit team bff will focus on. I missed it though.
If someone could care enough to give me a recap there's rep (not alot but that's not my fault) in it for you.
He mentioned nullsec; specifically POS and sovereignty. There wasn't a whole lot of detail in what he did said, though. Just that they want to iterate on those mechanics towards winter.
More importantly, how are Gallante going to be nerfed this time?
Only cosmetic stuff for AUR. So, say, TCUs with golen lining!
... but yeah, CCP said the winter expansion will be focused on sov iteration. The JB nerf was the first step in that direction, and based on comments from devs so far, I'd expect:
- Supercap (at least supercarrier) nerf
- More difficult logistics (cf. JB nerf)
- Easier 0.0 production (cf. CSM threads)
- More small targets (cf. CSM threads)
- Technetium nerf (probably combined with a general moon goo redistribution)
- Preparation for DUST 514 integration (this is coming out in 2012, they need to lay the groundwork somehow)
Sov, as it will be in the fall of 2012:
Step One: Post on CAOD. This is the "Poke Fun at Your Opponet's Lack of Chest Hair" Post, or iHurr post. Every DUSTer that responds to the post will get an ISK bonus to every battle they fight for the aggressors.
Step Two: Make contact with a lot of DUST corps. OR, insure that your alliance members aquire a PS3 and have it set up so that they can use their PC's and PS3's without getting up.
Step Three: Drop SBUs in the target system. If you can play the Icelandic National Anthem on a harmonica into the new EVE-DUST voice the SBU will drop instantly instead of the new timer of 360 minutes. As long as the SBUs are onlining DUSTers can move in assets for defence. Once active, the SBUs block any more DUST troops from moving in. Black Ops ships get a boost (as CCP sees it) since they will now be able to bridge in "Blockade Runners" the only transport ships that can move DUST troops into a system that has SBUs active. (In reality, the Black Ops ships aren't used since the cloaky haulers easily penetrate the gate camp that isn't there.)
Step Four: Each planet in system will need an Orbital Bombardment Module. Without this item you will not be able to have friendly fleets rain fire from the sky. Gallente should still not use blasters, since they will not hit the planet's surface even with the assistance of gravity.
Step Five: Once the SBUs and OBMs are in place and functioning you will be required to conquer two thirds of the planets in the system before attacking the station. iHubs and Sov modules are removed from the game. All focus is on the planets!
Step Six: The usual mess of timers, blueballing, and lag warfare insuses over the station. The only difference here is that you will need to keep at least 10 "Marines" in your cargo hold to defend from DUSTers packed into frigate sized "Boarding Ships." If one of these boarding ships makes contact with your ship via a Bump, an instant DUST battle will insue with the result either being the invaders are repelled or your ship goes pop from the inside.
Step Seven: Inbetween timers take a break from the mouse/keyboard and controler to go put sugar in your neighbor's car, clog up sewers, and steal everyone's left shoe so that people like Tipper Gore will continue to believe that viloent video games beget real life hooliganisim.
Step Eight:Once the station has fallen there is one last defense for those still inside. A "Pillow" can be purchased for 20 AU and everyone in station will comence in a giant fight with said pillows. Right click to swing as you WASD your way around the station. Every strike of the pillow expells the struck toon out the air lock where they litter the overview with "Gay Frozen Corpse"
Once the pillow fight is over, rinse and repeat your way to VICTORY!
Too long, Zakh, too long.
Step One: Buy PS3
Step Two: Get laughed at by neighbour's kid for being SO late (Really) to the party
Step Three: Buy Katana
Step Four: ???
Step Five: Win.
What Zakhodit said.
