First. Dr whatever-economist is an idiot (tech hurf). Sure plex is going to have an effect and I'm sure he has evidence but playing this game since 2004 I can tell you that inflation has risen by itself, far far more in the past (before plex) then after. Now I'm not attributing plex to slow inflation since it likely doesn't but saying there is inflation is like saying there's oxygen in the air. And I'm not economist but I'm not quite sure how plex increase inflation, they don't actually inject isk into the game. They just have isk trade hands from one player to another, so it is neither a faucet or a sink.
Just a note: As the russians (and almost the entirety of legion and it's renters) live in the drone regions having massive amounts of bots does not increase inflation at all. That was the holy point of the drone regions, it's an isk sink instead of a faucet. It has other repercussions of course, such as devaluation of minerals and such but not inflation.
And just because he advocates selling plexs (which I don't think increases inflation, but let's pretend it does) doesn't mean he advocates inflation. There is a system in the game to make mass amounts of money and he advocates taking advantage of that. I wouldn't do it as I hold my RL cash dear, but I don't care if he does it or not. And inflation works against him, it means that the isk he's buying is worth less and less, of course this means that he'll get more isk per plex as it goes but the prior plex he sold is now devalued. So it is actually in his best "RMTing" interests to keep isk at the same value, or even increase the value of isk.

Your an idiot. RMT/PLEX doesn't create ISK. There are three main inputs of ISK into the EVE economy, killing rats (in Anom's/missions/etc), mission rewards and insurance. PLEX's, mining, loot, Tech, etc. all just moves this isk around (From those that killed rats, to those that mined trit). Someone had to earn that ISK via Anoms, Missions or from insurance. The actual ISK sink's are quite small (insurance, buying skillbooks, and?).
The overall trend of the eve economy has been deflation (that is, everything is getting cheaper), which has a hard lower limit based on insurance value. There are short term spikes of inflation caused by particular items becoming rare (being destroyed in PVP, mining bots being nerfed meaning there is a smaller supply of minerals) / increased demand (FOTM ships such as Maelstroms and Abaddons). Inflation in the PLEX price does not effect the eve economy as a whole. PLEX's arn't made into anything, nor made from anything. The PLEX price could double, or halve, and its not going to change the price of an Abaddon.
RMT & Plex's, does not break the ingame economy. They simply move existing ISK around (to those with RL money or for gametime). They add no extra ISK to the economy, nor do they take it away. That ISK that is RMT'ed is inevitably spent on something (By those people that bought it). Massive amounts of Anom botters would hurt the ingame economy (i.e. 40k NC carebears running Sanctums), by causing inflation (ISK is worth less cause there is an oversupply). However, DRF didn't take over the NC to setup thousands of Anom Bots.

Maybe goons attacking Cobalt Edge along with the NC raids from Razor and Morsus Mihi were a mistake. Prior to that IRC had gone mostly to the background and been content to seemingly sit out the majority of the Vale campaign after being heavily involved in Geminate. Now they are constantly seen supporting PL from Tribute to Tenal. Had NC/Goons just left them alone perhaps they would of just stayed in their hole.
Vale/Geminate were the beaches of Normandy. That's where the failure really was. The NC should have fought there so they wouldn't have had to fight in Tribute. Brick Squad fought admirably all things considered but were to small to hold on their own. What lost Geminate was the lack of supercap support from the NC after the early battles in O2O which saw heavy losses of supercaps on both sides. Difference was the DRF/PL/RDN/NC./etc kept bringing their supers while the NC retreated further to their core hoping to sacrifice Vale/Geminate and the Russians wear out and be satisfied. It is a lot how WWII started, many looked the other way as Hitler invaded his neighbors thinking that would be enough, it never really is.
Perhaps Goons will offer MM and RZR a constellation or something to get them started again, they'll have to shed a lot and become leaner but will survive if an offer is made most likely. It doesn't have to be the end, Red Alliance once had just 1 system and almost all of the DRF are descended from RED. Goons once lost all their space. etc
The former Providence forces like Severance and Cold Steel Alliance probably head back to Providence and support CVA once again assuming they didn't burn that bridge in the past. -A- might even consider a new alliance with CVA after all there is sure to be reprisals from their actions in the south from the DRF, thus making sure the other front is quiet is in their best interest. Several corps from the NC might could find a home in -A- even.
I doubt DRF will take all of space though. Everyone that has ever tried has failed. I believe they'll hold Drone Space and probably what is eastern and central NC territory. They'll probably install some buffer alliances in these areas after all evoke, RDN, NC., merciless, and PL all could use some space and are more than capable of holding such space on their own. I do agree that IRC is likely to take some of Tenal from the looks of tonight, probably just the constellation or two that borders their holdings in Cobalt Edge. Whether they get any valuable moons there remains to be seen. Such will be good for these mostly PVP alliances and for Goons really close enemies for both and pvp for all.

After O2O, only crap FC's showed up. It's not us super pilot not willing to fly our ships, it's being unwilling to welp them with incompetent FC's. In the end, the downfall basically was the lack of people who have charisma (like yaay) to lead us into battle.
We only had Junior, kula and LD , and apart from Junior when flying subs, I and many others refuse to fly with those anymore.

The Northern Coalition is shattered.
As Vuk Lau feared, they were unable to defend a strategic objective in Tribute core in both Euro and US TZ, even after batphoning AAA and having them burn from Feythabolis to Tribute. Immediately following this failure, the bulk of the NC was reset by Goonswarm Federation, with only RAWR and RAZOR remaining blue. The very fibers that held the heaving corpse of the NC alive for so along are quickly burning away.
Lordragonmps attempted to form a supercapital fleet today. While having almost 200 on comms, most of those were carriers and dreads. At the height of their formup, they had 10 titans, and 25 supercarriers.
Pandemic Legion alone had 20 titans and 65 supercarriers; The combined numbers of PL/RAIDEN/NCDOT/RA supers were over 250.
The NC supercapital fleet will likely never form up again.
Vuk Lau, despite being online for the entirety of the debacle, has not made any public statements to his alliance, although discussions may have taken place in the highest circles of their leadership that I do not have access to. I can't imagine he has any desire to continue fighting against an enemy that outnumbers, outguns, and outclasses them despite the theoretical numerical superiority of his alliance and its cronies.
As I type this, I am in an IRC fleet of 60 subcaps that is currently sieging the capital systems of Tenal. There has been no RAZOR response, since that alliance has been dead for almost a year.
