Ok, PL gets a huge amount of iskis from drf, but does that mean, to be blind to the bad actions of drf (codestealing, extreme botting and using of the game as a cas cow for their real life) is good? drf is not only a harmless ingame alliance, drf destroys the game by abuse of the game codes, by selling iskies at ebay and in order to maintain the cash flow by putting terrible bots in every system they own. This is the Northern Coalition.A bit of a history lesson….
As Memorial Day weekend passes here in the US, the WWII Battle for Midway comes to mind, the United States was greatly outgunned / outnumbered in carriers.
The Japanese fleet went after the strategic island of Midway, think of this as Tribute. If you can take Midway you can take the Pacific (the rest of NC space). This was the Japanese strategy and this is nothing different than what we are facing today.
At the start WWII, the Japanese outgunned the US in capital ship / carrier forces, this was their strength and their weakness. The Japanese doctrine was built purely around the superiority of carrier forces. They didn’t win battles / skirmishes without this force behind them, the enemy is no different today as we’ve saw this at the beginning of the conflict in Vale and Germinate. We’ve know the enemy doctrine, it was hard at work this weekend, they get a fight and jump the supercaps.
Tonight is very much a Midway event. If we get them to commit these resources to the field and get the losses that we need to get in terms of Supercaps, we create the game changer event as this is the doctrine’s weakness. After the US forces seriously damaged the Japanese carrier fleet, it caused pause to the enemy, they became reluctant to commit the remaining carrier fleet to major engagements because to the the enemy the carrier was a finite resource and did not commit until it was too late. The industrial giant of the US awoke and it put the biggest capital fleet the world has ever seen to this day into the field, the US did not become an industrial and military juggernaut until this moment. This is that same moment for the NC as a whole.
Our enemies may have a tactical advantage but NC has the strategic advantage. The Japanese did not have the resources to rebuild, nor does our enemy. Yes our enemy has RMT, but you cannot go to Jita and replace these ships. They require enormous resource, they require sov, they require the industrial bodies to make it all happen. Most importantly they require time. This all works in favor of the NC.
Tactical losses tonight don’t matter because it’s the strategic win you want, get the supercap vs supercap fight, create supercap / titan losses. Be ready to ship and reship and go back in. If you tackle and cause the supercap losses, you expose their weakness. You force them back into sub-cap fights and the NC was winning those at the start of the DRF conflict. NC can rebuild off capital losses better than our enemy and although we may have tactical losses, very expensive tactical losses, it's the only way to get us NC strategic advantage. Otherwise, cat and mouse games shall continue.
Personally I want to see a COAD message from the NC that says, Dear CCP – keep nerfing JB’s, keep letting the RMT Russians bots and paid pets do what they want, we are still standing. In a nutshell CCP, NC remains intact until you ban our accounts so go fuck yourselves.
