The Pope, not to knock your tinfoil hat or anything, but Pl Tengu's have died before then albeit in very small numbers, and the KMs didn't seem to show odd amounts of damage taken.
With all the talks of :exploits: HoN and god knows what else, people seem to be neglecting the real reasons DC won...
1) The goon and widot alphafleets got good warpins on either side of the tengufleet
2) there were plenty of huginns for the initial minute of the fight, key to getting several command ships and tengus down
3) Goons dropped an epic triagecarrier in the middle of their fleet (haven't seen this mentioned before) with a rather large capital force easily within jumprange and ready to go. This carrier saved dozens of battleships while tengus popped like flies

The great thing about Cloud Ring is it's location. It's next to three nullsec regions great for roaming (Pure Blind, Fountain, Fade), it's next to two NPC nullsec regions if you're into that (Syndicate/Outer Ring), and even got two lowsec entrances for those who likes doing lowsec stuff.Only advantage that Cloud Ring has is a slight smattering of tech. Cloud Ring boarders to 7 different and nicely mixed regions. Compared to Providence, Cloud Ring is a very nice region for an alliance like Ev0ke. It's not about the ratting, it's about having somewhere to build supers, enough moon income to cover sov costs, and being close enough to hostile regions that you never run out of targets.
Yeah, CR is a fun place if you're hostile to everyone else around it.
