I actually got a 6 month ban from playing board games with my friends after a particularly intense Scrabble match. Monopoly can be brutal, but Risk is by far the elite pvp alliance of board games.

I'll concede I nearly provoked someone to physical violence whilst playing Risk by placing my capital and all my spare armies immediately adjacent to his, and that family games of Scrabble at Christmas are a deeply traumatic experience (something more to do with my family than anything else). However, Monopoly is so bad we simply do not play it because we are scared of what might happen.

Diplomacy is the board game of kings and emperors.
Around these parts, Diplomacy games are almost guaranteed to end in assault charges. It is a bad way.
I actually know people who carry dippy-grudges fifteen years after the fact. Suckers thought a handshake and giving up Bulgaria bought them free passage to Sevastopol.
We played webdiplomacy in PL, it never ends well.

Oh man, webdiplomacy is one of the most divisive thing to ever hit the legion.
I can guess like 80% of the time, but the only way I know for sure is if I hear them speak.
I've heard that in Japan, people with flat foreheads are deemed chinese-ish, and thus dumb and inferior. There is a strong history of racism against chinese/koreans in japan so maybe they have some bullshit system for phenotypes when they were committing their genocides in the 1930s and 1940s.
During the Japanese Internment in the US, there were guides on how to tell Japanese and Chinese apart. They were mostly bullshit because China spans a huge fucking area and Northern Chinese look different than Southern Chinese. Whenever I go to Korean or Japanese restaurants, they ask me if I'm Korean or Japanese, respectively, when I tell them I'm Chinese they say, "Oh, well you're good looking...for a Chinese person."

I betrayed the same guy three times in three consecutive rounds. My last argument before I "threw him under the bus" was:
"Dude come on I betrayed you twice, why would I do it for a third time?"
I never played diplomacy with him again. In fact I never saw him again which probably is for the best
If people think that playing eve sometimes can test your patience and self control, they have not played a diplomacy marathon.
