Brace for more spurious justifications for horrible DRM on a platform developers are treating like the red headed stepchild, followed by a rush to pirate the game and enjoy it without drm ruining the experience and the cycle repeating.
Both these leaks have followed strict adherence only releasing demo's on certain 'exclusive' platforms. Funny that, i wonder if its been much of a motivation to get the games out there?
Anyway, Crisis 2 looks horrible. The wide open sandbox style roaming gameplay from the first one is gone, replaced with call of duty style close up linear maps and seeming invulnerability- its almost impossible to die and entirely possible to run from the start of most level to the finish without actually firing a shot by running away from bad guys along the predefined path the game wants you to go along. From Crisis 1 to just another generic shooter, but with an invisibility mode.
No, its not a significant graphical improvement over Crysis 1 (multiplatform remember?) and there are mods out for crysis 1 that make it look BETTER than Crysis 2; actually, make it look better than any game currently near release or in development, some of the fans are quite talented at squeezing more out of cryengine. The game is pretty much finished and is release candidate + an armload of bugs.
Oh and the leak includes dev/mod tools that weren't going to be released with the game. Bye bye DLC profits, hello modding community
Killzone 3 just looks like milking it for all its worth. Its also a 40gb download with 3d vision, or 20gb without
