In the two days since TEST, EXE, BDEAL, LAWN, and ESG began the campaign in earnest we've taken five systems despite some limited opposition. It's a great start.
Militarily, our tireless fleet commanders continue their excellent work forsaking whatever remained of their actual lives to make sure Medea doesn't explode and take Minnesota with him. Your attendance is fantastic. Even a few Zulus logged in. Keep it up. Strong numbers will make this go much faster. A nauseating number of roams, convoys, and strategic operations are scheduled and we need your help to make them happen. Vale of the Silent isn't going to burn itself. Leadership and five million Minnesotan souls thank you.
Politically, several entities have deployed to the area including Brick Squad and Triple A. Tired of fighting incompetently in the South, where combat revolves around them getting blobbed by the blobbing Legion who blobs (they blob), Triple A has wisely deployed to fight us honourable space pilots who turn our noses at the thought of tactics like blobbing. What began as a vacation for a handful of Triple A corporations has turned into a full blown Caribbean cruise complete with bronzed towel boys to service their paranoid delusions. Also, Pandemic Legion might release some leak Triple A forum threads at our request. They're juicy.

We reinforced the station- our FC crashes as Raiden. bridges in and we dither on a gate and get tackled.
Another TEST fleet down, they had around 250 alphafleet and got dropped by 120 raiden tengufleet and 100 init maels/rohks. They got no kills basically since they scattered as soon as they jumped through gate.

We welped a couple welp fleets to AAA oracle gangs back in curse. Looks like shieldfleet (drakes and arty canes) might fare a bit better.
welpfleet did not work at all against -A- plated/trimarked/pulse oracles in curse, so I talked with Grath about it and then made a post saying we should use skirmished drakes or armor hacs. We got to try ahax once and it seemed to work. Nothing on our end would die except tacklemallers/other light stuff and every time we got a 100% probe we'd ping off some dude on grid and back to zero and kill a few things.
We never got to try it down there but I thought drakes should work because with skirmish links they are about the same speed as oracles or even slightly faster, same engagement range and 3x the EHP. Sure the oracles do 2x the damage of drakes but they generally didnt use logi while we did, or if they did it was really badly fit Oneiroses so with a few scimis in tow the drakes huge buffer in smallish gangs means that the oracles would be hard put to kill much. Also people have a tendency to go "loldrakes" and lemming at them (see Draketrain guys captained by Lacco) so it makes it easier to draw 3l1te pvp3rs into a fight.

Pretty much we were buttraped by a bunch of supers with hellcat support. I'd bring up the fact that it's during our weakest TZ, but honestly it wouldn't have gone too much differently without a couple fleets worth of dudes.

The thing I've learned about TEST is, we seem to enjoy welping almost as much as we enjoy welping others.
RDN. were shooting our SBUs in A8A, using 20 supercaps, and 20 subcap support. After lots of fucking around, we get into welpcanes, made exactly for this purpose, and head the fuck over there. With as low numbers as we had, it went as expected, but there was the shot for some good kills there, and as the FC, I figured that making that movement is the far smarter move, because, well, who wouldn't in that situation?

To be honest, I personally, and I think a lot of my fellow alliance members too, would be more than happy to duke out some good subcap fleets and get the much talked about "goodfites" that we all love and long for. But being as we are a bit on the defensive against the meanie goonies running around reinforcing everything up north, the supercaps are out in force to get the job done(tm) quickly.
Also, I laughed out loud at the visual when our entire fleet warped away from the rifter menace at the SBU, but the grid was completely messed up.
