This afternoon a PL roaming awoxing gang was running around the barren and unholy region of branch, when they were greeted by a UNIT alliance's tour de force, consisting of 2 wyverns camping a gate in QXQ, awaiting the incoming gang as they travelled up the pipe. Word quickly spread to the rest of PL, and we hurriedly formed up 30 brave warriors, whilst our roaming gang tried to keep them bubbled for the next 20 minutes.
Two titan bridges and 7 gatejumps later (since we didn't have proper cyno chain in place) our support fleet was next door. Somewhere in the chaos one of the wyverns managed to warp out to a safe pos, but we still had one pinned down. Our last hero dictor died to a bold few UNIT support that had showed up to defend, moments after dropping his last bubble. A new dictor from the reinforcement fleet announced that he was one jump, just out as the aforementioned bubble died. Moments after he'd jumped in and started burning towards the remaining wyvern, it got up to speed and escaped into warp to go cower in safespot and cloak.
The collective facepalms of the entire fleet could be heard throughout branch, as we travelled home. Our hopes were shattered and our morale broken, but fearless dictor pilot Haack Mah spoke up and gave a motivating speech. "Fellow space heroes" he began, "Today could have lead to greatness, but we let the opportunity escape from our grasp. I guarantee that a week won't go by where you won't regret the mistakes made this day. But there will be another time to shine. I’m not saying it’s going to be easy. You’re going to work harder than you ever worked before. But that’s fine, we’ll just get tougher with it."

confirming i had my helping hands focused on oiling and disinfecting lucian james behind for 4 minutes straight. i suppose you let him live for a reason.. there was a particular devoter that did not manage to bubble up on time 3 times in a row. how many boxes have you running, phreeze? i did not expect to return with my ship intact.
