The TSA is a cancer
muslim's diong the searching now, how ironic :P
oh and look she's a nun.
the terrorists could say they achieved their goal. look at the uproar :again: over body scanners. and bigger this time
I said hi on the forums and 500 people flamed me
The terrorists have achieved every goal. 9/11 was basically a near perfect plan. We're slowly but surely losing freedoms in the name of security, and we're throwing trillions of dollars away on pointless wars. That's not even mentioning the moronic public's alienation of an entire billion+ member religion.
I honestly don't think Bin Laden even imagined it would go this well.
The idea that I have "free will" is the only irrational belief that I allow myself.
If I am wrong, I had no choice in the matter.
The number of silly security and terrorism related laws that have been passed in the UK in the last 5-10 years is crazy. I wonder how this period will be written up in the history books : /

Not to mention completely ignoring major scientific discoveries because they go against our religions. We like to think of ourselves as modern technological giants, but we vigorously fight anything that goes against our preconceived notions and spend hundreds to thousands of times more on military than any sort of science.
I find it funny that NASA's estimates for a trip to Mars is ~150billion. Even if they triple what their estimate is they're still not even half the cost of the Iraq War.

A trip to Mars is of debatable utility, though. Even if we get a fully functioning colony established, the costs of moving any significant number of people is going to be immense. The laws of physics and the costs of rocket fuel dictate that moving anything out of Earth's orbit via rockets is going to be prohibitively expensive. If a space elevator or something similar comes online, then it might be feasible, but until then any kind of colonization using current technology is going to be horrendously inefficient. Project Orion shows promise for large numbers of colonists very large distances, but we'd still have to get the necessary materials and people out of earth's orbit. Given the rampant economic inequality even among first-world countries and the massive environmental problems facing us, it's impossible to morally justify spending hundreds of billions on space colonization programmes, given the current technology, simply 'because it's there'. The great Keynesian welfare programmes of the sixties are being demolished in the name of 'austerity', with most of the middle class cheering on the attacks against 'scroungers' and 'lazy slobs'.
On the topic of the Iraq War, the fact remains that Hussein's regime was an astonishingly brutal and horrific one, and something needed to be done. The war as it happened was not the right way of doing it, but if the Iraqian civil bureacracy had been kept in place, the use of wide-scale munitions limited, and an interim government established ASAP, things may well have turned out much better. As it happened, anyone with ties to the Baathist party was liquidated, despite any skills they may have had. This created a vacuum that caused the oppressed Shia majority to rise up, creating non-state entities that occupied this power vacuum, and we know the end result of that.

If i fly to the states in the next year or so i will demand an 'enhanced pat down' rather than the machine. I will strive to have wood.
Should i tip the groper or the Madam?
I hear if you say you're a homosexual you get someone from the opposite gender to pat you down.
cripes
What do they do for bisexuals?

The terrorism laws of the UK work very well.
I have personal experience.
Vikings->Cod->Financial Services
9.11->Afghanistan->Iraq(lol)
Coincidence? I think not!!?!
Vikings did 9.11. Iceland have WMD's (like that Volcano powered anti air device you recently employed)
[Arrador] possesses a considerable understanding of ship configurations, strengths and weakness. He gives clear and purposeful instructions, is good at taking advantage of the fleet-composition he's dealt, and never loses sight of the main goal: fun. This, paired with an excellent tolerance for strong drink gives him an almost Churchillian capability to win, despite being completely pissed on booze most of the fleet operation.
Wear kilts people! No undies!
''Sir you have been randomly selected for an enhanced pat down''
~raises Kilt in full view of all those waiting in line for the rape scan~
"Come at me Bro"
i'm not quite sure a proper kilt would be very comfortable to wear on an aeroplane.

In order to enter the USA, I was never touched, I was never “Backscatted,” and I was never metal detected. In the end, it took 2.5 hours, but I proved that it is possible. I’m looking forward to my next flight on Wednesday.
when i went to the US from the UK all i had to go through was standard passport check then it was straight outside the terminal, no searches, no metal detector, nothing.
Us Aussies are so trustworthy and too interested in good beers to be searched or patted down. True story.
Also did someone mention shemales again?
I bet you're Tasmanian then and the second head gave it away
Oi m8 you want to get ur fukin head kicked in?
If I was Tasmanian I'd be asking "Which one?"![]()

Right on man. Shire boy checking in from down near Cronulla way - the Land of the Race Riots, surf and Puberty Blues.
EDIT: And yes I'm old enough to remember, and YES I had a Sandman Pano complete with rear mounted eventually soggy matress
Northbridge/Cammeray over here, and I was brought up on vidjamma games rather than surf. I'm a hell of a lot younger than you are. Been living in the states for the last few years though.

heh I bought the Pano for $1500 and did it up/restored it - I was still in primary school when it was made so I aint THAT old![]()
Were you old enough to have darth vader or conan on a throne with a woman at his feet spraypainted on the side?
If there were chicko roll bags on the floor as well....

Isn't discussing which part of southern Asia is the best like discussing which part of the Brooklyn Bridge is the best to sleep under? Except instead of a cold damp place it's hotter than humanly acceptable and filled with things that mean to kill you.

Thats a point, do you have many homeless people in Australia? I'd imagine all the wildlife would kill them all off pretty quickly.
Well, you are fucked now America.
Europe is a nice place to live and most of it is easy to emigrate to and obtain citizenship if you are a professional.
Enjoy your police state where peaceful protests of civil disobedience to state sponsored rape marks you a domestic terrorist.

I don't care if my neighbor faces east every morning as long as they dont try and take my Bacon and i dont get stoned to death for not believing in their concept of divinity.
In all fairness, that hardly seems to be a reliable site. Given that the author denies that the Great Depression existed, rabbles on about the gold standard and how the dollar is going to implode and how "Since taking control of Congress in 2006, Hussein and his wrecking crew have jammed through more socialist legislation than all the past liberal agendas combined (had) ever hoped to accomplish."
As for the article itself, it boils down to that some guy who runs a site (that is about as die-hard right-wing as one can get) was contacted by an anonymous source within the TSA who apparently leaked him an internal memo that says these things. I'm not saying that these things should be dismissed out of hand, but it is certainly suspect. If this/confirmed gets picked up by a more mainstream news site, I'll believe it, but in the meantime I'll treat it as suspect.

Hussein died in 06. What did he rise from the grave and possess Obama or something O.o.
On that note I absolutely love the undercurrents of "the other party are really terrorists!" that comes from both sides. The right have their whole Obama is a muslim thing and the left have the whole Fox news is largely owned by a saudi prince with connections to terrorists.
