Bear Cavalry or no, Drone Russians lose LXQ and based on my historical analysis they will go full Scorched EVE and trade space for time in the hope that the scores of ref cycles we'll have to zombie our way through will 'turn the tide', etc, etc. This will not work.
*edit: the difference between scorched earth and scorched eve is ofc instead of them burning crops, blasting bridges...they force us thru gobs of timers and gazillions of structure hitpoints.

The battle could go either way. Russians will probably be committing supers so the NC presence needs to be a big step up from last time, but if XIX just warp supers to the SBUs and snipe them I don't know what we'll do. Kill some supers maybe, but lose the system. Our best chance is to drag out the fight as long as we can like last time, keep reshipping and let the russians go to bed while our US guys log in

Probably good to remember that this is only the initial stage of the fighting. And the Russians have been damn formidable opponents throughout their history in EvE.
Though I did have fun waiving waiving at UaxDeath in 1a during a POS bash with Rat Salat and Lucian. What happened with 1a after we left, did the Drone Russians rep all the towers, station, JB, and replace the cyno jammer?

The difficulty for us is going to be when we march further away from our staging point. It's easy when we are close to Metropolis/Vale because we can reform at friendly staging systems, but further into the drone lands this won't be as easy IMO.

about 700 NC in system and 6hours 30minutes on station, our expectation is they will try something at downtime but who knows.

I thought there was going to be a fight as they contested the nightly USTZ fleets, it being Friday and all. No such luck there, just reffing a bunch of shit while we got this wierd bug that allowed you to fire as fast as you could hit F1 on turret based ships. Fun for about 2 minutes, then :words: about using it ref everything we possibly could (which is pretty lame). I caught a few hours sleep, woke up, still no contesting from the Russians, when they could have well put equal numbers up to keep us out of the system hours before.
USTZ is pretty frustrated at just reinforcing stuff during the week, then getting no fight on Friday night. EUTZ waking up at this point and taking over.

Blue spike to 950 now. At least two more reinforcement fleets inbound as well. Modules still cycling, autorepeat working, just killed a Drake who decided it'd be smart to warp to a mass bubbled POS. Will see what happens once the Russians bust out the supers and start FBing our BSes and DDing our logis.
EDIT: 1000 now. Going to be interesting to see what how it plays out between a massive number of subcaps and a relatively large number of supercaps.
Theres about 900 nc in local and more on the way(and its only downtime people still working lol so terrible), logging in isnt going to be pretty, moms will be a nonfactor unless you want to crash the server after 4hours of being lagged out then by all means launch your fighterbom.. i mean servercrashers.
I for one would welcome the server dying so it isnt in such a fucked up state when it comes back online

it comes down to the sov system. you can worry about good fights on the first three contests. on the fourth all that matters is that you WIN. so you dont have to do this again.
