I seem to remember while it was up there waas a discussion about whether we might hire PL to attack the NC and Vuk Lau stated that would never happen all the time he was in PL high command channels - is this true - are we all carebearing our assess off in the vain hope of hiring PL to only get scammed? c/d?

I wouldn't rely too much on anything written on a forum, a lot of times shit is written even in internal forums. I think the comment was more a perception of their attitude towards Bob/IT at the time. But, as we have seen with EVE over the years, attitudes can change.
If IT hire PL against the NC it'll be because jabber-crew illuminati wanted you to. All you'll have paid for will be a false perception of control

I always liked the politics and industry/economy side of EVE more than I liked the combat mechanics or the mind numbing sov system. I think the politics side still has interest long after you stop playing if you invested a lot of time and effort into making one of the political groups dominant in the game.
