For all the retards, i was referring to Atlas, who took a region from the NC despite the NC trying to defend it.
And yes, I am not implying they didn't have ti coming re the DR attack on Atlas but it did amuse me nonetheless.
Tri's also had some impact around the same time, but it was largely due to the distraction Atlas had caused imo and when that distraction was gone, so was Tri.
It is why you will never really get a failure cascade from an entity like Tri or PL to one the size of NC, while both are capably of inflicting humiliating and face palming results, it can't be done on the scale required so the effects are more an annoyance than anything and these entities themselves wont last in a war of attrition.
However, if combined with a major front where someone else is soaking the damage then they are very dangerous entities to be left roaming in your space. Destroying and running is the easy part of EVE, building and defending is the hard part. Drone Russians are appreciating the difference now, they have largely had the benefit of being on the other side with our battles in the past.
[Arrador] possesses a considerable understanding of ship configurations, strengths and weakness. He gives clear and purposeful instructions, is good at taking advantage of the fleet-composition he's dealt, and never loses sight of the main goal: fun. This, paired with an excellent tolerance for strong drink gives him an almost Churchillian capability to win, despite being completely pissed on booze most of the fleet operation.
Its funny, but the NC doesn't defend space either, you do system lock outs.
In point of fact, you haven't fought for your own space in a long time, you simply black out the system till combat becomes a moot point.
Then every time somebody points this out to you, you have some gay ass "well why not use all the weapons we have". Because it makes you a fucking faggot would be the primary reason, but thats a discussion on a whole different level.
I ratted from time to time despite not needing the isk, if you have access to some nice systems it can be very profitable but I enjoyed it the times I did it because it was something you could do over a short period of time during slow periods when you were just chatting on channels.
I found the most lucrative money makers to be T2 production, capital ship production (especially during periods of war) and market manipulation. T2 production required you to be an older industrialist who got lucky with the T2 lottery and have access to cheap components via a strong corp/alliance. You can make decent money via invention but you rely more on mass production with small profit margin per unit rather than bpo production which is small volume with higher profit margin.
Capital production of a scale that returns a lot of money needs a significant capital investment and as you have suggested, market manipulation requires a decent real life knowledge skillset which the average person does not have.
I was involved in all 3 but the market manipulation was the most exciting one, while I do use those skills for rl work and personal life, I do not speculative trade to the extent I did in EVE, I enjoyed the ability to take really stupid levels of risk without having to swan dive off a skyscraper if it didn't pan out so well.
I have run into other traders in EVE who do quite well in this area and some do not have formal qualifications or work in the industry. I've said to a few people over the years that they should think about doing some short courses in the field and see if they have a liking to that type of work. But, I also warn people, most speculative traders I know are on the verge of being insane, went bald at a young age due to stress and have a ruined family life. Although, they do quite well for themselves financially.![]()

WIdot Teampeak meeting. It's pretty damned boring though.

(And I don't really think this is the right thread to post it, but better to post it here than necro some old PB/Fade thread).
Also, I want more logs from this drama with PL.
Come on guys, you leak everyone else's chatporn. Leak a bit of your own for me to slowly masturbate to while lubricating myself with tears from my crippling depression.

Were the other 9 alleged tech moons not towered? I'm not sure where you are getting 14 from if there's only 5 killed on your killboard.
Nyx was on trial, dude had been in corp for 4 days and told like 18+ times (we have logs!) not to afk in it - logout.
Unfortunately he's been invited to join BLAST. Where he will have about equivalent intelligence with the rest of the alliance.
I'm glad we made the news. Any publicity is good publicity
amirite?
Trusting a promise of blue standings without confirmation by someone with the diplo role and consequently jumping Hel through systems filled with horny hotdroppers who spent the last month scamming the ISK together to buy a mothership and want to use it. MC must be filled with geniuses
Shooting blues is a long-standing pastime in the north, PL will fit in up here.
lol did you just paraphrase my entire post to try and insult me? use of youthful adjective. check. crappy grammar. check. claiming the other person didn't understand your masterful posting. check. careful plagiarism will get you kicked out of highschool these days.
seriously if you can't undock because oooo scary PL is in your home system you should return to lvl4s in empire. "bbbbbut the pilot was afk!" *alliance continues carebearing*
MY DAD IS STRONGER THAN ALL OF YOUR DADS!
Shouldn't you go to bed grath you crazy american its like four in the morning christ
From MC diplo:
Gallente Militia did indeed contact us but we decided to decline as we’re already on a contract from OWN Alliance. In the past 48 hours we’ve been deploying some 50+ supercaps to various staging locations in or near Tribute. We expect to be flying alongside our PL brosefs supporting their operations within the next few days.
The blue on blue incident was unfortunate. Standings were agreed upon and were going to be set in the next hour or two when a PL FC that were not privy to the diplomatic talks attacked us. Shadoo has apologized for the incident and the Hel has already been reimbursed from the PL Supercapital Reserve fleet.
Expect to see more joint PL and MC actions in the future.

Sounds like Venals getting pretty busy, are there any NC left holding out in NPC stations?
Last i saw the Graduates were trying to live in PF, but with WEPRA in P-V and ANTRS going back to Y-4 and PL in what? H-PA it cant be easy to be NC in Venal atm.
Gicer.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.
Which means they can routinely field maybe 10.
