We are all guilty of creating our current super coalition mess. I hate the thought of renters in a video game and especially the fact that for defending your space, you need to batphone 1/4 of eve to defend. I don't like it and that's how I feel. Like I said I'm not gonna take any actions that would endanger my Corp or brick but that doesn't mean I am fine with the situation. My guess is that PL risks no space, or holdings, or even cares about super caps. Their risk is fail cascading because their ~bitter vet~ player base will just leave if they don't bring the fights in.
As for a NIP, it is kinda pointless from bricks perspective either way. Why would ME/RAGE want that space (blue russians get all the prime western gem stuff anyway), and if brick brought sov warfare to vale and beat up on ME/RAGE (possible but ~blob~ works wonders for sov warfare) then the NC would just wake up and smash them down. Yes I just made the argument for no more power block coalitions, piss off.
Personally I like the idea of not having to defend moons if I dont have to. Grinding them just is such a bore and well small gang warefare is really nice as there is no lag there. If brick/smashkill goes red and we get to shoot each other then thats enough eve fun to keep me subbed
Based solely on what I've seen (also known as observational opinion not necessarily fully supported by actual data) of small-gang warfare in Geminate:
Rebellion > DarkSide. > SOLAR > br1ck > MAGE > LEM > Morsus Mihi (sorry MM, but you guys got owned a few times and it was embarrassing to watch).
It means ME/Rage willl have some work to do to keep from regularly dieing in a fire to br1ck OR we need to all learn Russian and just run gangs with Rebellion.
Anyway, it was my understanding that br1ck was always intended to revert to neutral/red once the bad russians were kicked from Geminate and maintain something of a NIP with them. But hey, what do I know.
