As you have read above Autistic Sharks is now leaving TEST. The reasons for this are convoluted, but simply put the most recent incident is the figurative straw that broke the camel's back.
To understand this situation that SHURK was in, you must understand first of all that SHURK is the "4chan" corp. We have been in many alliances: Mostly Harmless, No Fun Allowed (our own alliance where we took a system in Geminate
http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/4NGK-F ), IRC among others. You can see a trend here where they got progressively worse. We thought this all changed with TEST. However we were far from right.
On the surface TEST seems like a pretty cool alliance, after all they trolled OWN out of their space among various other hilarious shenanigans. The members themselves are pretty cool, to an extent. However the leadership in TEST is absolutely atrocious.
Let this be a warning to all corps currently in TEST and considering joining (I hear Anzac is about to join heh) TEST: if your goals include deciding what to do with your corp, you need to look elsewhere. Let's look at the culture at the higher echelons of TEST. During my time as CEO of SHURK on no less than 6 occasions have I heard (and more afterwards), directly through the leadership or from 'reliable' sources that Montolio was considering kicking SHURK. Frequently I would hear something along the lines of "All the corps want you gone" which, as I have learned, is a blatant lie.
When one joins an alliance as a CEO of a huge corp like SHURK, one expects to be let in on what's going on. Not so in TEST. I would frequently learn of stuff through the Alliance News, as in I, a CEO of a major corp in TEST, would never hear of anything until it happened.
I assumed this was because there was an established hierarchy. Not true. Upon talking to Tooducky right before he pulled his corp from TEST, I learned that he, like myself, didn't know anything about anything going on within TEST. Here I was thinking that Tooducky had all this pull. I was wrong.
To clear up any misconceptions: nothing ever happened in the "Short Bus" (High Command). Never. Everything that ever happened in the "Schoolyard" (Low Command) consisted of the TEST leadership saying "Hide your supers" or "We're doing this" (without any discussion).
So essentially, even if your corp was a 600 man corp (admittedly with a lot of bloat we have since kicked) like SHURK did at one point you had zero say in anything. Corps were not given moons, yet expected to contribute financially. Soon corps will be, in addition to not having any money-generating moons, taxed on their ratting taxes. In other words: TEST corps are literally on the same level as DRF renters, if even that. Nobody has any power nor say in TEST besides "Montrollio". He fails to realize that by constantly pissing off CEOs of other corps that some will actually do something about it, like convincing SHURK to leave the cesspool of TEST.
Let's talk about E115. They will be used as an example for all the paranoia shit that happens in TEST. So here's E115. They have a large portion of TEST's supercaps, capitals etc. Even if we didn't like them, they are still a paper tiger that can keep hostiles out of Fountain with the threat of their supers. But that's irrelevant to what the TEST leadership did to them. First, they infiltrated E115 on a massive scale. Where do you think the forum mirror came from? Col Ethix is still kicking spies. Second, they sent a Dreddit director to tell them they were getting kicked. What is the natural response? To evac, obviously like any sane corp would. Now what could they possibly gain by saying "We have intel from one of your director's that we're being kicked, so we're evaccing?" So my only conclusion is that this sequence of events was built up to kick E115.
This underhanded metagaming is fine. If the corps aren't supposed to be your friends. E115 were alliancemates, just as SHURK will stop being shortly. You don't do that shit to your friends.
How does this concern SHURK? It has been happening all along to SHURK. Let's look at a statement Montolio made.
"it's too bad shurk won't split up with you (me), junko, and ure taking some of it and kalnov and wiawyr leaving"
Really? You really want to break up one of the strongest corps in your alliance? This shit is ridiculous. You have no idea how to treat your friends Montolio. Your alliance cannot stand without the other corps in your alliance. Stop treating them like shit. We're all tired of it.
Nobody was fooled when you blacklisted me for “Leaking Intel”. Iniquita, Leetcheese and all of the rest of your directors leak, on a daily basis, more than I have ever leaked. Your pitiful accusations were seen through quite easily.
Let's examine exactly what I wrote. In that post where I leaked 2 month old information about making TEST corps into renters, I also called out TEST's finances. This is why I got blacklisted. Because I called out TEST.
What did I call them out about? Their financial spreadsheet showing 70b while also asking for donations in donation drives. I see this as extremely hypocritical. Either the spreadsheet was lying or TEST did not need the money. As I learned later, TEST apparently did have that money. It was also asking for donations at the same time. The financial spreadsheet is still wrong.
But regardless of the state of finances in TEST: instead of telling me why I was wrong they blew up like children. As any adult knows, getting mad at a problem is not solving it and only exacerbates said problem. Apparently the leaders of TEST have not had to deal with any real life situations because they, like children, got angry with their problems and blacklisted everyone they had disagreements with. Like Wiawyr.
Wiawyr's situation is hilariously childish. By no means is Wiawyr as political (a term that I define within Eve as actively trying to not piss everyone off) as I am, tending to shit on people when they are acting hilariously dumb. This obviously turned out well when he, the biggest TEST shipmaker, complained about refinery taxes.
Refinery taxes are fine if you refund the mass importers such as Wiawyr. However instead of listening to why Wiawyr should get refunded, they instead decided to troll him. Now this would be fine, however Wiawyr is one of the most respected directors and ex-ceo's in SHURK. He's also one of those rare people who actually does stuff to progress people other than themselves. So imagine our feelings when Montolio told us to kick him or he would kick SHURK. All because of a simple disagreement that could have been ended swiftly by simply telling Wiawyr “Sure I'll refund your refinery tax.” However that would require the TEST leadership to stop acting like children. Which is impossible.
Oh no, they didn't try to resolve issues. They instead tried to force their point of views down the leadership of the corps. The concept seems to be "We're the leaders of this alliance, accept our points of views or fuck off." So we are fucking off. We don't appreciate being told every month that we are being kicked. We don't appreciate being told every other corp in this alliance hates us when the opposite is true ( I know, I talked to a lot of them.) We don't appreciate not having anything at all. We're tired of our directors being blacklisted and unable to communicate through alliance comms. We're tired of all of the spying and paranoia that goes on within TEST by TEST's leadership. We're tired of Montolio's jealousy of other corps and people. We're tired of not having any information at all given to us by the leadership. We're tired of Montolio never coming on comms. We're tired of Montolio never logging in and doing nothing. We're tired of awoxing FC's warping us to 0, repeatedly, on fleets we have no business being at 0. We're tired of the horrifically obsolete maelstrom fleets. We're mad as hell, and we're not going to take it anymore.
As of right now we are evaccing our shit to highsec. From there we will be joining any number of nullsec alliance that would have us. Interested in having us join? Convo/mail me, Kurth Ren, Wiawyr Hunta or White Tree and we'll talk specifics.
I have no delusions: I missed a lot. This is the best I can do. -Kalnov
