If PL loses 10 Towers while winning a fight ofc the fight was more important so they win.
If PL loses Billions in a Fight and get their asses whiped ( ofc by getting blobbed ) the more important thing is that they saved some towers while only some towers got killed.

Ok, here it goes:
We, The glorious and courageous NC formed up @ 00:00 Eve Time to continue purge the infection to our holy carebear land, the virus called "Pandemic Legion". As per our usual formup times, we expected the usual 2 hours of reshipping, as our members seem to thing that every fleet calls for drakes, and that every ship is a drake. I will note, however, that we diverged from usual tactics in this case. Instead of a gigantic blob set on balling up like a jugernaught bowling-ball, we deicided to segment our fleets. MM and RZR were formed into Fleet BS (50km range), B team into sniperhacs, and Deklein Co into Arty Shield fleet. The total of our numbers was estimated at around 500 or so. Our blob had reached acceptable parameters to match the 60 PL
After we were finished teaching our brave and hungry troops how to fit ships, where to go, ect, we began on our journey. MM + RZR bridged from UMI to 1-Y. We traveled to N6G, and began to assualt the POS's there. All was quiet as we took down 3 enemy towers in N6, and two in A-A and 9-2. It was then reported that the enemy had shown itself in D-8, and had cyno'd in carriers on field! We made our way to the gate, and jumped through into battle!
On the field, the Federation of Goons & TEST had already begun the exchange of fire as the MM + RZR BS jumped in. Lag was terrible at first, but as grid loaded and the battle raged on, it began to clear up. MM BS fleet burned down about 70km or so away from the gate, as all the PL scum were sitting close to 0 on the gate. It was clear, however, that PL was hurting most from the lag, as reps were not cycling the best. The goons were close to the PL fleet, at about 30, and the B-team sniper fleet was above the gate, sending shells from 150k.
When the battle reached its peak, it was clear that PL was not going to win this, as the number of ships facing them too great, and their reps too few. Their BS fleet disengaged, and jump through to 9-2, while their carriers slowly awaited their fate, and died.
The fight over, we continued our assault on their towers, when word of a few carriers outside a shield in H-PA hit fleet. We rushed forth, and quickly nabbed one more carrier for our board. Our fleet finally finished its tasking in killing the towers we wanted to, as all warriors were weary of the battle. We headed home after we grabbed our 8th tower kill of the night, and called it good. Then PL repaired some more towers, which we didn't do anything about. The end.
That reminds me.
If a PL FC had to command a NC, He'd be bat-shit certifiably mad 45 mins into the fleet. And that is just the form up, We haven't even left the staging system by then.
And by mad, I mean wailing in a corner, straight jacket, padded walls, the whole she-bang.
[Arrador] possesses a considerable understanding of ship configurations, strengths and weakness. He gives clear and purposeful instructions, is good at taking advantage of the fleet-composition he's dealt, and never loses sight of the main goal: fun. This, paired with an excellent tolerance for strong drink gives him an almost Churchillian capability to win, despite being completely pissed on booze most of the fleet operation.

At 00:45 the Clusterfuck Coalition assembled for the second night of POS-Shotting. The day before had gone poorly due to the COMPLETELY UNFORESEEN two score supercapitals being dropped on the assembled Coalition of Coalitions subcap fleet in WLF. This time, it was determined that there would be no interference from PL titans, and to ensure this a cloud of NC supercapital pilots waited on standby.
The Clusterfuck again summoned forth the MALESTORM (fuck you mittens Alphafleet is a gay name) and lo, the goons and their allies responded to the call! Mounted astride their seriously overpriced Matari battlesteeds, the Clusterfuckers waddled forth girded for battle most furious.
The Clusterfuck met up with the NC somewhere and they probably shot some moons or w/e but the only interesting thing is PenifSMASH losing his shit in local to the point in which he literally sounded like a Dungarmatic Manic Minute if Dungarmatic had been primed with a shitty gimmick as some ElitistOps tower died.
At some point William the Hiresword assembled PL's customary Abaddon fleet with some triage carriers and waited for the NC to blackscreen jumping in to him, assuring the PL US TZ crew the victories they demand as part of an elite PvP alliance.
However, while the physical form of Sky Marshall H. Ratli Smirks Esq. was at this moment tanking Shadowfang Keep on his troll druid and basically owning, his spirit was alerted to the danger and flew through the internet to find Laz Telraven. The Coalition Coalition jumped through the gate and, through the single-minded determination of the spirit of the Hero of 49- who was seriously tanking the shit out of that new end boss, the Clusterfuck loaded grid and William's initial gambit had failed. Victory to Hratli Smirks, who is really a good druid tank.
Now the Clusterfuck's MALESTORMS belched forth 1400mm death at the Amarrian ships of battle. The initial cannon volley, so weighty and thus befitting a Goon ship of the line, crumpled the vaunted armored hulls of the Golden Fleet before the remote reps of the Pandemic Guardians or, yea, their triage carriers could be brought to bear. A whole grip of Lokis fell before the vengeful artillery, their Federation Navy Stasis Webifiers availing them not. Even a formidable Damnation, its midslots full of tracking links intended for titans absent from the battle, could not stand against the ferocious pounding of sexually frustrated goons.
The spirit of H. Ratli Smirks stretched forth yet again and whispered into the ear of Laz Telraven, "Shoot the fucking carriers, you pubbie faggot." Seven carriers, perhaps grateful to the oncoming barrage for a quick end to their shameful existence after having failed their subcapital comrades, perished beneath a rain of 1400mm Quake Large and Republic Phased Plasma.
The field was ours.
The honour....was also ours.
The NC was probable there too.
Then apparently people went home and PL congratulated themselves for "bringing it."

The reason I am not bragging is that this was my 2nd OP I was leading in the last months. I know that NC is shit when it comes to quality, flying proper ships, having competent FCs or getting shit done without me holding their hands ( smug smug smug ). So why would I brag about blobbing PL with 500:150 ? The only thing worth posting about it is that PL FCs ( I WILL SELL CHATLOGS FOR ISK ) were disappointed that we killed their towers and didnt give them a fight, then choosing to fight our 500, then complaining that it's not fun, then declaring tactical victory because only some POSs got destroyed and not all.
Apart from that, PL is awesome at what they're doing ( maybe bmerc should be replaced with mrrive2000 as ustz leader )

Yes we lost but I don't think it was really stupid to engage. We knew going in there was very little chance of victory but our best fights have come from engaging when we expect to lose. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
