The really sad thing is, just a few, maybe even one, triage carriers sacrificed would probably have saved him, nevermind the rest of the 50 odd Atlas dudes in system.

The guy that lost the Nyx was back the next day in a Scorpion, defending the cyno jammer from us, while Atlas lost 5 carriers of the 10 that were warped in to protect the jammer. He died again, but if i were him I'd be wondering why Atlas leadership cannot show the same guts as he did.

People do retarded shit. I've accidently warped a SC to a hostile station while triple boxing (luckily it was an Atlas system so i casually warped back to the pos). PL have sent supercapitals to hotdrop IT carriers repping a pos in their activity height and prime, with little-no intel, for us to be counterdropped by a huge number of hostile supers. Certain people can't distinguish between bridge and jump. But you always try to rescue the retards because otherwise you may as well not be in an alliance.

In this case for the price of a few carriers/support for a guy that although, as you rightly said, was retarded, is obviously willing to put billions on the line for the alliance, and despite losing it all turn up the next day in a Scorp ready to fight, you could saved him without breaking a sweat, without even an OFFICIAL ATLAS fc.

No he probably wasn't retarded months before when there was no danger, specifically due to the fact there was no danger for him to be retarded about.

Accidentally warping somewhere, clicking jump instead of bridge, ect, are split second mistakes which everyone makes at some degree, and while it may make you briefly stupid doesn't make you retarded in general. However being active and being told repeatedly that hostiles are coming well before actually arriving, being active and having multiple alliance mails saying not to do exactly what your currently doing is NOT a split second lapse of judgment, it's a deliberate and thought out act of retardation. Yes, I'm sure sacrificing a couple carriers and support could have saved him, but for how long? If not today, then it's just another day. The carriers and support could be better used fighting another fight, such as to kill a s.cruiser 200km off a pos. ~_~

IMO the guy is retarded if he died to huge blob with the intel that was provided the fact that the 6 logis scared you all and the rather small size of the fleet that killed him is just pathetic and tbh in a time of war not having an active fleet in staging system and scouts feeding you intel from next systems over to protect this defense gang/fleet from getting out blobbed just tells me you all have no will to undock or even fight!
