Tonight Cursed Alliance came in H6-, Wicked Creek, with our usual Domi fleet + SBU in cargohold, to bring some people around and ready to fight.
After some skirmishes with the local renters for 1 hour, finally Atlas shown up with a mix HAS/BC/Support fleet and fights happened in system and surrounding ones : http://www.cursed-alliance.com/?a=ki...t&kll_id=14363

Has Atlas even been tested in defence? We know they can attack stuff, but is this repeated attempt to get c-j the first time atlas has had to worry about defence?
ofcourse not, Atlas has managed to keep this space for a year and a half without ever having to defend, ever.

People make smug comments and they shall receive smug replies. To answer shadoo's first question about people out to get atlas or whatever. I think RA, xxdeathxx, WN, made it pretty clear on Russian CAOD about destroying ATLAS for good. PL blueing them up and having a presence during all large ops, probably gets them lumped in there too. Other entities like Curse and Darkside like to kill us but i think they would both rather farm our player base then destroy our alliance.
As for defending our space, nope weve never had to put much effort into keeping this shithole we call Atlas space. We are by large an offensive alliance of terrible pvp'rs with lots of capital assets. We've been known to assemble 350+ man gangs, usually cap heavy and imo thats why people havent made much of an attempt at our space (plus they dont want it).
Until we all just quit because this game is broken anyways, or we lose all our allies and get dogpiled by every alliance who wants to see us cascade and diaf, we will be here defending whatever anyone brings to us. Personally i wish everyone who isnt RA xxdeathxx and friends would just go away and lets us roleplay our long lasting grudge with the drone region russians. Its about the only thing that gives me pleasure anymore in this game.
there is plenty of goon rage on their forums about us in the past. Lots of russian especially drone versions have a rock hard boner for us. We have taken half of dronelands, vale, geminite, insmother, detorid and omist in campaigns. No one can claim they did it alone and neither can we. I believe the events of the last month is the only MAJOR assualt on our space that i can remember off hand. For all you faggots saying detorid and insmother were not defended when we took them, yes they were goon towers but they were xdeaths corp in goons managing them.

With much amazement we, the GW natives, noticed the rising number of EVE V.I.A (very important alliances) in our jungle.
Some spanish ATLAS guys camping 7q now and then is old news. In the last week there seem to be some happy RZR campers in the B-VIP pipe spending their holidays yarring.
And yesterday we not only shot us some clown intruders, but also -A- BCs and Uanzin was full of Goons.

Your question was reasonable, but Aurora has been super-defensive recently for some reason, and got all worked up as a result.

Atlas has an efficient and well-practised defensive strategy that they've used since teh GFFL deployment: only engage if massively outnumbering the enemy, throw pets and renters in the way and fall back to the depths of their heartlands, secure in the knowledge that they have a route to empire that doesn't need to go up through the bits they always lose if attacked.

the idea is to only engage when you know you can win.
for example not throwing a capfleet around when you know that 3x your number of caps is sitting within jump range.

i thought that too, but apart from taking some nosov systems to show their members that their are making progress, they haven't really made any real progress.
i expected them to take c-j and most of insmother weeks ago, and with the supercap blob they fielded it should have been easy.
XIX won't sit around and grind a single station for a month. WN, if they don't make any progress, will eventually say fuck this and probably move back north or try for some space in SC/WC.
yeah I hear alarm clocking for three days straight is something everyone can do.
so far most of our structures have come out between 1800 and 2200 GMT, once you add the +3 hours for Moscow time then its still inside the usual playing time for most eve nerds.

We were just looking for fights, but of course ATLAS kept to themselves electing to roam with 20 man fast hacs gang instead while russians were once again fagging up c-j6.
We found their cynogen pos offline, so shot it a little with 40-50ish guys in hacs -- then gathered 6 SCs and put them in there since it was obvious ATLAS wasn't gonna do anything anyway. The 40ish support and 6 SCs popped the tower (kb whorage points) with no incidents in 0-w and everyone went home after a friendly chat in local with good friends in ATLAS.
Pretty standard process by now -- tomorrow ATLAS will pack all renters and friends who still care into c-j6 which will have it's SBUs destroyed without incident and ihub repped, and so we continue the little hide and seek game
Is C-j6 reinforced? And if so, when is the ihub/station comming out?
