So if I understand that correctly, then renaming a character really doesn't do a think to hide their identity. All you have to do is look at old evemails to find out their new name?A few weeks ago, I noticed that Solon had disappeared from my "buddy" [sic Smile] list. We had assumed that he had deleted the character. A few days later, I noticed that I had some evemail from a character named "Lake". I was curious since I did not remember ever reading it, and it was not flashing new. Lo and behold, when I opened it, it was an old piece of mail that Solon had sent me. I then looked in my buddy list, and there was Lake, a member of ON, and with an avatar that matched Solon's appearance.

if you use your addressbook to see if someone gets renamed, put everyone in their own folder named with their original name, it makes things easier

I would HAPPILY see every user of an exploit banned, anyone who purposefully used a client modification or bug, or indeed GM contact, unfairly to their advantage BANNED. I would love it. I wouldnt allow "Oh we didnt know it wasn't supposed to spawn every 45mins" or "well you eventually changed the game to do the same thing so it cant be an exploit" to get people off bans either.
If Bob members used the pos shield bug deliberately (as in, intended to cause the bug and then use it, not accidentally find they could lock/shoot), then yes, ban. I dont see evidence of that, maybe CCP have it (eg if they were fitting passive targetters and used them then, BAN).
you misunderstand me, I think any proven exploit use should be banned, including by BoB. The thing I dont want is for people to be banned because some nobody CLAIMED on the forums they were exploiting with no decent proof. Proof of a bug is not proof of an exploit. As I said, I had the pos shield bug happen to me one time, it wasnt my fault, I didnt even look at the POS I used overview to target;visually its often desynced. I got accused of exploiting of course when the ship died, but how the fuck was I supposed to know; i was seiging a pos and trying to lock anything that warped in.
Its a shame Kug doesnt dish out dirt on the other alliances when they cheat, and they do.
