I think PL will definitely have an impact, economically, but I mentioned previously that unless there is some serious alarm clocking going on I am not sure the campaign will be as successful in terms of distraction as it was against IT due to TZ differences. While NC will come back time to time, I don't think it will help the russians reclaim stations.
In terms of inflicting damage, hell, as much as I mock Tri, they were still quite good at racking up the body count and in the grand scheme of things it hasn't really made a significant impact, or barely any impact at all. But I am not really convinced they care about making an impact, killing someone you don't like can be more entertaining than actually achieving something of note.

Having super-cap superiority is a large part of why PL can get the contracts it does and actually succeed with them. So they're always going to take the chance to kill any supers that aren't theirs.

You haven't seen goon supercapitals because we have like six of them now, down from eight. I'm pretty sure four of those are Lorien's.
Historically goons have turned their noses up at supercapitals, believing them to be ostentatious displays of faggotry and embracing the dreadnought and the carrier as the true measure of alliance strength. As a result this left GoonSwarm ill-prepared in regards to the Dominion changes for titans and especially motherships because seriously motherships were garbage and only stoners, Daitengus, and DBRBs bought them.
Then Niart and Karttoon fucked up and whatever supercaps that were in build died and Karttoon subsequently ran off with all our supercap BPO shit which actually wasn't a huge deal because we didn't have any sov to build supercaps in for like 6 months anyway.
i remember how niart suspiciously sold his cap production business and cashed out the exact day before the sov drop and i'm not convinced it wasn't intentional. there's more to what happened than meets the eye
