I can see how that would benefit the NC since it might force atlas to fall back, with sys-k tied up by stain and AAA setting up its new aquarium in providence that would leave IT as the only huge bloc against the NC, but i really don't think that will do much for us. You're asking goons to move their shit to a fourth region in as many months and one with probably the most awful logistics yet. Yeah Angel missions are nice but every time we have one of these drastic shifts more corps leave and more individuals decide that the alliance is just death thrashing and stop logging in. Plus if we do threaten their renters enough to provoke Atlas into returning we'll get owned at our current levels of participation.
I don't think atlas would have to even bother. Primary. by itself can match or outnumber current LODRA fleet numbers in US TZ.
Maybe DJ is talking to RA through OEG? I seem to remember something about them poking at the South lately (I might be making this up or misremembering) and "RSF 2.0" would fit with DJ's pattern of basing decisions on nostalgia rather than expediency. LODRA + Cursed + possible Russian cameos would probably be enough to take on the Atlas B-team

They'd be working with Cursed, and if darius can rope one more medium-sized force alongside cursed (thus my RA speculation) to help out, i could definitely see it. Atlas' neighbors are a rung or two below CH/Evoke on the competence scale
Well, I doubt that RA would do something like that, they have a lot to lose, not to mention they wouldn't make a move without Solar/Xdeath approval. I see them attacking the NC first before the South, but hey you never know what the Russians are thinking.
Also you guys seem to be forgetting U'K/-A-/AAC and whole bunch of other people who could basically cover for Atlas. Given the Goons participation and what not, when they get repelled they might shed even more members.
But the Wicked Creek thing kind of fits the "big announcement" bill more than for instance like Alex mentioned moving to "RAWR" space.

Anyway I agree that there's no real endgame there since an Atlas return would certainly be too much for us to handle, but there's no real endgame in CR either besides sitting and waiting for the NC to be free to help us again, so if the Curse thing is true it's at least some entertainment in the meantime.
As long as I'm posting bitterly, I might as well added that bolstering the strength of the alliance through the recruitment of pubbie corps is very comical considering DJ's often professed "hatred" for pubbies and his desire to have a ten dollar only club in space.

Just in theory; if that scenario would occur, it probably would be enough to "just" send down GC and/or CoW to back up Primary + renters. In that case surely Atlas would rely more on directly co-oping with IT, Init, ROL & co, though it wouldn't take them out of the war.
Regarding Sunderring; it's a good corp, also comes along with a Naggl-afk-tower-rf'ing pilot. It also means that ZAF's now thoroughly welp with F3AR gone.

As a matter of fact its the same kind of thinking that led to the GS/RA alliance in the first place. Except that both sides are a bit shittier now. Now I'm not saying that the goons would go to Providence, as that fight is much more worthless than the Cloud Ring one, but that the two sides could end up working together in Curse (hell, if you get the right people they might even salvage Cloud Ring, though it is obvious that Darius isn't trying that.)
