UPDATE: Okay sorry its been awhile folks. Well it looks like things are finally beginning to settle down here in Providence. For the most part it looks like CVA has finally abandoned their systems and have already moved most of their assets and ships out of the region. Roaming Providence, the only remaing CVA fleets will be made up of PAXTON FEDERATION pilots protecting their space. All things considered, it could be debated that maybe CVA should've fought harder or maybe it was smarter for them to tactically conserve their fleet.....but that is for far better and more well-informed men to argue over. On that note, it does look like PAXTON (practically confirmed now) is to remain in Providence as a holder. The agreement per say, was not underhand or done with backroom dealing, but out of a sort of mutual respect of the conduct and skill of their pilots and alliance throughout. They had earned the respect of many of the attacking new Providence alliances (AAA most importantly), who felt their presence as a strong PvP alliance would be beneficial to the PvP fun house which Providence is to become.

On that note though, it looks like minor wars and contacts between the new smaller Providence alliances is already breaking out. AGONY for instance has already set almost everyone to neutral, and has already fought both DEISHO,TWILIGHT, OPTICON, as well as SOLIDALITAS XX in fleet engagements. DESIHO and STAR FACTION have already been in a previous scraps, over neutrals using their stations to base out of. (STAR lost 1 Dread). NOIR MERC GROUP, has already begun their consolidation of their constellation and it does look like they finally have a place to put their feet up. On top of that, it seems they will rent their system to renters and even have a sort of NRDS policy to traders on one of their stations. (How the traders will get to it remains to be seen though). Also it seems UK friendly's such as HYDRA RELOADED, OUTREACH, and CURSED NAVY Alliance have moved in to start PvP roaming gangs. Much to the dismay, and excitement of some of the Providence Confederation Alliances. Overall, its seems a Region wide standing reset will occur within the next 2 weeks, with each alliances having to buddy up or defend their space from multiple hostile gangs.Throughout all this, a wary eye still need to be cast on CVA and its remaining allies, much like a shadow it must never be discounted. Now that everything is settled though, Sov. will not change over or be challenged throughout, but the danger is that small fires sometimes have a habit of exploding. It does seem like Providence will now become the PvP training ground for smaller fleet roams and as a place for people to cut their teeth in null. Whether this is good or bad to the new sov. holders, again time will tell. So it seems ends another chapter and yet another unique beginning in the Eve Online history of the region known as Providence.


With that, i doubt there will be much to report from Providence for awhile, as the current great war of NC vs. SC will have bigger ramifications throughout eve. I though will remain in Providence for awhile (PvPer's willing), to update you guys on the progress on the new proxy wars popping up here. Thanks again to everyone for informing me, correcting, and enlightening me on the gray areas of info here. It's been a great help. Fly Safe and remember if your not sure shoot it twice.

Note that -7- had a nice little pocket right next to empire, while PXF had the frontline space surrounded on all sides.

KBP system is very important to UK and few other players. -7- won't let them use that pipe. -7- constellation is much closer to empire so it can be used to launcher future sov attacks against providence. PXF space is farily deep and they are surrounded by reds. PXF is less of a threat than -7- in their constellation. I'm not saying PXF is incompetent but their location is not great to launch sov assaults on providence.

Seems most of the new residents enjoy pvp though and plan on roaming each other for fun.

The funniest thing now about Provi is that its an even better place to roam in than before. Just because there are so many different entities in it now and they are not all blue to each other. No more unified "hostile" intel, you won't get blobbed out and the new replacements are terrible like the previous ones. From what I've heard it does not look like AAA is going anywhere...(ofc u might have some other sources) and even if they did.. CVA is in no shape to do any sov battles. Enjoy the farming and don't rush into provi to take back space.. its just a waste..

Point is, these entities are consisted of mostly carebear corps (look at dotlan who joins these groups, those are not pvp corps....wait i forgot m.corp ). So they join as it seems to be easist way to make isk a be in 0.0 while be close to mpire in case shit happens. Noone has entry system access, so its UK/AAA gatecamping heaven with fresh bodies. The difference between old provid and new one, is that carebears and these groups wont make isk if they not under one command to fend of introdurs, people wont be able to move stuff and they left with no high end moons, pay for sov upgrades and close to 0 ability to mine/rat as nxt system is hostile entity.

We will be more cleverer in coming weeks, but comparing the 2 providences of new and old, and not saying huge differences in hardnes of carebear life of these small entities is stupis. Point of old provi was that it "protected" exactly this small groups without the burden of sov or with the ability to band together under "competent" leadership, so thats why so many groups were there, even if it wasnt that great. The disadvantages of being farmed and roamed have beeen leveraged by advantages of carebear joined defence.

If you want pvp and small gang stuff, you dont need sov or stations to do that, so which pvp able groups will really take space there? none.

I would be interested if a entity outside of providence attacks towers of the residents, do they all team up to defend it, or the NIP is only interprovidence?

Not speaking of CVA against which its directed, but other groups from 0.0 or mpire.

My "objective" view, as a Citadel member: most of the carebears left, some entities switched sides and it is a pity that CVA lost all their space as I'm sure they put a lot of work into building that interesting space empire (even if it was regarded by many as a carebear infested hellhole, lots of people had fun attacking and defending it).

A "core" group of PVPers remain in the area (similar to paxtonites) which enjoy the pew-pew. The new Providence owners have proven to be quite fun so far. Some blob with carriers, some dock up, some give ~good fights~, some cloakfag it about or bomb us. Your regular 0.0 smallish fleet skirmishes.

There probably won't be any sov warfare as long as -A- keeps watching like a hawk, ready to drop their supercap blob and rape our faces, just roaming about killing shit. This, while regarded by many serious business space captains as useless, keeps everyone sharp and the game interesting.

As someone from PXF, I can tell you I have now more fun then I had before, it is just awesome. So far I am not aware of any logistical issues.

New neighbors still moving in and finding their feet, so will take a while to get a clear picture on what life will be like in 4BZ. So far PVP has been excellent - probably the best it has ever been. Logistics has obviously been more difficult, but is workable. (Low SP toons will likely need more direct support.) Remains to be seen how practical PVE will be in the area, and the hulk fleet was mothballed quite a while ago. Will have a better idea in a month.

I find it hard to believe the newly installed alliances are going to be defending each other when CVA comes knocking again. I was strolling through 3KB today and came across an interesting convo going on in local. I went down the list and found no known holders or any CVA member in local, yet the entities where pretty angry at each other, calling each other dreadful names such as "cloaker-fags" and "pussies". This keeps up and I think -a- is going to have to cancel their northern trip a little quicker then anticipated.

i was looking through cva's killboard and it seems half the fail alliances are flying around half-fitted ships. Is this a new fad? Or are these entites starting to feel the shittyness of having no empire route and no industrial backbone to support themselves? These shit alliances won't even be able to pay bills soon by the looks of things. CVA won't even have to try.

A counter to what you said - a growing area for corps/alliances to pvp wiht neigbours and lots of roaming etc - is the star fraction/daisho situation for example. As a intel channel for providence exists, with most of entites having sov in provi having access to it, its evolves very fast towards the cva providence system.

People who get sov dont do it in order to rape people nxt door while ratting, as the same people will rape them while doing the same. SF pussied out as people couldnt make isk or whatever, daisho has the same problem. Those that will be outside of it will be at huge disadvantage (neutrals or light blues reporting you to your reds) and the inbalance will make either people leave or (which is more likely) just get a intel channel, blue list and not shoot each other (check for fun the proposed treaty between SF and Daisho -

Formal agreement of mutual space usage and transit between The Star Fraction and Daisho Syndicate – the alliances agree that neither party will attempt to restrict the movement rights of the other in any system in Eve space. Star Fraction and Daisho pilots will travel wherever they choose in Providence and the former KBP pocket – including the systems KBP, B-W, E-Y, T-U, and Y-9.

The B-W system will be shared and open for resource development with SF and Daisho pilots free to dock, trade, rat, mine, and whatever else they want to do in the system. Anchoring towers is permissable with consultation (basically avoid high value moons for mining purposes).

It’s important to note that Star Fraction pilots do not travel in nullsec freespace to annoy or irritate our neighbours or to share intel on blues or neutrals. We will cooperate in the destruction of reds and are happy to help our friends destroy mutual reds.

Neither Daisho Syndicate nor Star Fraction officers or members will attempt to “order” or otherwise “demand” action from captains of the other organization and will respect free transit rights at all times.

Daisho Syndicate will formally apologize for the destruction of ClairXXX’s Myrmidon class Battlecruiser in B-W system and reimburse the full value of the loss.

This agreement represents a binding settlement between Daisho Syndicate and the Star Fraction but will need ratification by a majority vote of the free captains of the Fraction before it can enter formal agreement. For a pure pvp roaming corp its much more convenient to sit in low sec or npc and farm provi, not to pay for sov or run plexes.

Alliance claiming space were lured by free 0.0 sov and the benfits of it. None of which is camp or being camped, but to make isk, build caps, etc and be seen on maps. It would be against every of this, if they would start this small canflicts allover providence, so despite all roam region bonanza claims, remember: Being farmed is good for the roaming gangs, not for the prey .

As you said before, there are still some changes planned by uk+aaa, so maybe this will be corrected.
