Seriously... What is going on?
Usually in an alliance you have 2-3 Excellent FCs, and then maybe 3-4 Average FCs. This alliance is different, in that there are more people that call themselves FC's than I can count.
Putting it politely, many of you people who think your FC's, Suck.
So many of you FC's use the wrong gangs against hostiles, So many of you FC's are more worried about logistics ships, even tho you cant even call primary targets correctly, most of you FC's are too slow to decide on what to do, too lost and confused to properly lead a gang.
Offended? Excellent, then your probably the FC's that need to learn a thing or two, and to the few that are nodding at what ive just said, step up, lead some gangs and teach these idiots what to do!
So, heres some simple things to learn, firstly getting people to dock, or hold at station, is bad, almost every single system has a safe POS, have your gangs form and meet at safe POS! Being camped in station is a bitch, hostiles camping a POS... not going to happen.
Next, move faster, think faster, be faster, sitting around gets you killed, decisions need to be made instantly, holding at a planet for 5mins whilst you scout to catch a single ship that is probably long gone, useless, make a decision, and move. If your waiting more than 30 seconds for something, then you need to move!
Right ships for the job, seriously enough with the rag tag fleets, battleships generally speaking are useless against hac gangs, equally, if you dont have enough tackle, then your not going to get many hac kills. Best way to kill snipe hacs, probes, and fast ships! Best way to kill close range hacs, is either to snipe them with hacs, or blob the fuckers with close range ships, hacs, maybe battlecruisers. Battleship gangs, use battleships, or fast hacs. Leave logistics at home when it comes to hac gangs, the loss of the DPS, and the jamming the hostiles will have, make them nothing more than cannon fodder.
Charrrrrge! most hostiles run like shit when charged at by a larger force, however if your out blobbed, or out gunned, dont engage, again use POS to sit at, send out cloaking scouts to find potential targets. Running is a valid tactic.
Finally, communication, probably one of the most important things, if you cant communicate properly, or speak english that people understand, then dont even try to lead a fleet, if your gang doesnt understand the orders you give, first time you give them, then your gang is going to be raped, equally, let your gang know whats going on, sitting and waiting, with nothing on TS, means bored people who log, or tab out to check there facebook page, and tab back to find themselves in the middle of a battle.
Finally, think like a PVPer, PVP isnt about ISK efficiency, carebears look at a killboard, and see ISK loss, however PVPers aim to get... KILLS, this means that if the hostiles kill 10 of us, and we kill 1 of them, even tho we did better ISK wise, they got more kills, this means happier hostiles, who will keep coming back for more! Deny the hostiles kills, and inflict losses, then will think twice!
Those wanting to know how to FC correctly, I usually run a PVP gang almost every night, we leave usually around 20:00ish, sometimes a little later, you are always more than welcome to come along, and see how I work.
But seriously guys, sure anyone can FC, but not everyone can lead, if you cant lead a gang to success, please god dont ruin the alliances morale trying to do something your not able to do! save that for fun roaming gangs with a few of the alliance!
