Well, when nobody else will fight you anymore, you've got to take what you can get and have courage. It might be a foreign concept. A few times it's worked, though, we did pretty decent with the Dominixes considering what we were up against.
It should be noted, though, that not even Goons form up such huge home def blobs, it's almost like you don't want an actual fight.

Guys, guys, no more people are allowed to join this fleet. Securitas from Kugu wants us to keep it honorable.
Did I say that? No. All I said is that FA's home defence blobs are somehow larger than goons. As an FC I usually move out once I have enough to do whatever I want to do.
I haven't even logged on in like 3-4 days so none of those roams were mine.

Sec tries to get fights, whether they be gudfights~ or whelps. Its by far his best trait.
To be fair, I've witnessed Mister Vee throttle his home defense fleets multiple times when roaming gangs came through during the last Delve deployment. Usually saying something like "This fleet is capped at X numbers because otherwise they (the hostile fleet) will just leave and I want a fight."
Then again, Mister Vee is not your average goon. :swoon:

Evol fleet logic at its core is essentialy knocking on diffrent alliance's door looking for a fight until someone yells, "fuck it do it live" and we whelp into a 7:1 home defense fleet. On a side note we've discovered how to jump to station.
That's fine, but the idea that a sov holding alliance should be expending thought and energy towards cultivating various roaming gangs in its territory as a matter of policy is beyond farcical.
In particular there is absolutely no shortage of action right now from Deklein to Cloud Ring, so the travails of Evolution and its current enjoyment of spaceships in these regions is of no concern to anyone, and the suggestion that the careless blobbing of Evol somehow signifies an unwilligness to fight in general is just butthurt stupidity.

Not really. I said 2 main things: that FA have larger blobs than goons for homedef in my experience (true), and that FA doesn't want a fight, just a slaughter. There's no problem with the second thing, I just personally wouldn't wait for 100 in fleet, but it's not like there's something morally wrong with it. Your argument implies that I think there is; in fact, that's the entire basis of it.

The tempest/guardian kills weren't a home defense. We went after some boob who got caught outside a pos in his carrier. We ended up getting blueballed because tackle was lost. So we were sitting in Outer Ring scratching our nuts on gate when suddenly those dudes jumped into all 100 of us. It was funny as shit, and I doubt HIGHLY they were planning on engaging our fleet with 8 dudes. Good laughs were had.
