Learned that "as soon as it appears you're gonna take damage switch to a jetpack and just run away to build a new turret somewhere else" is good to keep the D down, but I guess there's no way to raise the K without a good clan, huh?

The assault shotty is terrible...too expensive in energy, not enough damage, too slow on reload. At least the rifle has autofire, is cheap and a fair amount of range.

its interesting...so many people levelling, so when someone gets a new gun or upgrade, it makes a huge difference on the map..don't believe me? wait until you do a pvp map and someone has a rocket turret.

I automatically look to see if there robos are over 19. Assaults are pretty much night/day at higher levels too.

Medics it doesn't matter what level they are they're pretty much the same but a bit more tanky endgame, and recons are pretty bleh unless played right.

http://forum.globalagendagame.com/phpbb/index.php is the GA forums, There isn't really much of a CAOD style subsection. I think a number of zerg agencies are going to be in for a shock when the hex bill comes in and they're paying millions of credits a day in bills.

So, what's the rundown on the various alliances or agencies in GA?

My recon is at a level where i have the tools to be a competent bombercon but i don't know squat about the quality of the various groups out there besides that some of them are huge and/or Goons

I have no clue either. There is a recruitment subforum on the GA forums though. Tbh, getting into a proper agency is only useful if you are doing conquest, which I don't see myself subscribing for if I don't close one of my eve accounts (at least).

I'm still getting enough enjoyment by hitting 'mercenary', even with the retards that have two thumbs i seem to be playing with.

That said, i want to try conquest while its free. As things stand there is no real tangible reward for holding territory in conquest for individuals- so why sub unless what you want to do is fight a specific group of people?

Conquest is quickly dying. The rewards for holding space revolve around the AvA vehicles and stuff like that, which can only be used in AvA and are quite frankly boring and useless. The majority of the fights are either complete rolls or no one defends, meaning you have to waste 7-8min for basically nothing.

Due to some distractions, I hadn't yet gotten around to checking out the conquest mode; i'm still enjoying the vanilla pvp. pve needs a stronger reason to play to increase the pool of players: some instance bosses are retardedly tough.

I think GA needs a serious rethink about AvA to increase the number of people who want to play it.

And i'd like to see some new pve enemies, the evil robots are too bland for me, perhaps biotech monsters, criminal groups, hostile rebels, you name it. Even some sections where an evil mastermind gloats, some kind of story content or arc.

The PVE opponents in general are really bland.

1 type of starwars style humanoid droid, 1 assault with minigun, 1 poison medic that looks like its covered in green optical fibres and one recon that can cloak but only seems to stun you then run off instead of killing you like a real player would.

then 2 types of quadruped walkers.

The bosses however are great. There is variety and they can be a challenge, unless you are a powergaming ass and pve with 3 robos + one medic

I dont think there is ANY point in doing AvA atM, they need to sort that out.

I still think this game is just a moneymaker or first test for a bigger project. Netherless, the instanced PvP is actually quite fun.

I love instanced PvP and it's the only reason I think the game is worth the $45 or whatever. I'm definitely not paying 15/month for AvA's current state.

I really like it because I used to spend a lot of time on games like day of defeat and team fortress, and in this game, you get a nice array of unlocks and prestige items.

It means that no matter how much time you put into it, theres something that makes you play one more map, just to unlock something else.
