I'm fairly sure most of us have been here laughing at the fact that without our masters we do tend to fail at stand up fights with Providence. We're so awful that we even fail at renting and just sort of squat in their house for free. Then again failing at killing ten times as many people as yourself isn't all that surprising, but I guess that must be the spin part...
He rolls to disbelieve.
Who in AAA is masterminding this?
Not Dead, Just Sleeping
A director of Ironpigs left Severance to join Star Fraction, after stealing some Pos-fuel and ships and offlining a IRNP-Pos with a bunch of Ships in it's FF that Star Fraction tried to steal, failed, and instead bombed them.
Severance is apparently very butthurt about this, NO HONOUR!
-7- was actually able to get a fleet there and defend the offlined pos/kill everybody trying to mess with the empty ships. So SF used the only ships they are able to fly and bombed everything.
What's actually funny about this is the fact SF had the chance to do some real damage with the roles the defector had and only came up with this shit.
That seems like an awful lot of ships to leave floating in a POS....
Seems the ships was ejected from the ship maintenance array before the POS was offlined.
According to posts in the EVE-O roleplayer forum the supposed spy, Gelo Breen, later gave back 10 billion to Iron Pigs as a compensation.

You really do have the hots for Butter don't you. Have you thought about therapy?
Shit the Ushra Khan pet brigade is here in forces

cipp is slightly obsessed with me
the funny thing is he stalks me, posts tirades about me, pretends he doesn't read my posts, and talks about me more than is healthy.... then claims I'm the bitter one![]()
You know, back when I lived in Curse with TCF for some months in 2008, I roamed a lot solo in my crow, or scouting for some nano gangs. In the western part of Catch there was an alliance that did nothing but rat in cloaking ravens, and it was called Ushra Khan. I was convinced it was an alliance of chinese macro ratters, but my CEO at the time (now in TRI) explained me that they were minmatar roleplayers fallen from grace and were considered horrible by every standard.
2 years later they are possibly even worse than at those times. Takes hella skills to suck as many dicks as them, but I'm sure that they're up to the task.
So whats this of Aralis (CVA *current* ''leader'' ) disbanding it?
Aralis hasn't been the current leader in some time.
Lonewolfnight took over some months ago. Unless he's been replaced for massive incompetence, Aralis is just sorta the godfather of CVA.
His bio suggests otherwise, but w/e
it was http://go-dl3.eve-files.com/media/10...002/lolwtf.JPG
what i was wondering about
Aralis has stepped back up (just shortly after the DG mess... thank god at last) and the executor is IG again..
- Check the Cheeky Puffs char (1 day alt if you're lazy) .. why would executor personally send a mail to trial character..
- The second and main counter to that - Aralis prolly doesnt read or sends mail since like 2-3 years.. While he is like perma-online and active thats the last communication channel to use with him![]()
This would make sense. UK used Curse to NPC, ie it was used purely make ISK - the fighting was in Providence as it always has been for UK (and possibly always will be).
As an aside, I don't think you become a top ten alliance on battleclinic by ratting in cloaking ravens all the time, which just goes to show how making judgments based purely on your personal perception is not the way to form a valid point of view. Now, I'm not saying UK are amazing, or good, or even competent when it comes to anything fleet-like. We're consistently quite terrible. But actually, when it comes to roaming and killing stuff they are one of the most consistently active alliances in the game and have been for a very long time. It's all documented on the killboard.
Still, at least you undocked in 2008 which gave your opinions a minor whiff of validity. These days your bitter tirades are informed whilst spinning in a station, much like mine![]()
The united used to rank highly on battleclinic- by smartbombing frigates, shuttles and pods.
Battleclinic is useless
Not Dead, Just Sleeping
Privateer's Alliance is in the top 10.
edit: i wish the ability to see most losses by corp was still around. GoonFleet and GoonWaffe were the only two non-NPC corps on that list, and at that point in time GoonWaffe hadn't been used in three years.
Atlas however became unironically good in the last year.
Most killboards are a crock of shit, but they are infinately better than one bitter mans experience and resulting musings whilst flying around Curse in crow.
In actual CVA related news: AM decided to drop all their sov in preperation for a merger with Sylph alliance. This is bad timing by anyones standards - fighting is now ongoing and UK have a deathstar up and TCU onlining in one of their main station systems. AAA are also out in force.
We are pretty terrible

Wasn't that the Goon line?
The AM saga continues... There have been a lot of ~goodfights~ (no more than 200 per side) as the scramble to capitalise on AM's 'error of judgement' continues.
No less than about a dozen TCU's in two contested station systems have been destroyed by both sides. This is where Dominion comes alive - decent scraps as both sides fight to capture the system. We all know dominion has it's faults, but this is and the previous fight for J6Q has been quite superb.
AAA and UK CTA'd post downtime and destroyed the onlining AM TCU's which were anchored deep in US timezone last night. Current situation is that UK have captured both the stations, sov is neutral, and UK TCU's are onlining with about 7.5 hours left. For some odd reason our TCU in one of the systems is anchoring on an empty moon, probably cos no-one could be fucked to throw up a tower in US timezone. Well, it wouldn't be a UK CTA without at least one defining moment of pure failure, and this is that moment.
So now it's a waiting game, pretty sure Providence will be forming up to try and take out the TCU's once more - but this time they online within UK and AAA prime, so the result may be different, who knows. Should be fun either way
amusing Dominion 'feature' we discovered in 3D - you can online multiple TCU's provided they are each from a different corp - in theory each at a seperate deathstar, for example... this seems remarkably retarded, but oh well, we're got a couple onlining instead of 1 'just in case'

I've heard this said a lot by Providence side. I personally don't think that having spies = metagaming, these are in-game actions we're talking about (I count voice comms as in-game, if people choose not to use Eve Voice for practical reasons is another issue).
Spies are a legitimate 'profession' in eve, and good ones are highly valuable. The game is better for it, not worse - it adds another dimension to consider, and helps prevent people getting too sloppy.
Spies are metagaming, but just because something is metagaming doesn't make it bad. I think the problem a lot of people have with the term is the automatic negative association.
in-game spies are not metagaming, certainly not in the literal sense of the meaning of the word - you can be a spy in eve, and play the game entirely as a spy, there is nothing 'meta' about it
While the possibility exists, there are relatively few spies who are spies entirely in-game. Most use some sort of out-of-game system to convey their spy info (TS, forums, IM, etc)
Given how often debate crops up about what is or isn't metagaming, the literal sense of the word is usually what is used as a central argument for one side or another.
Oh crap, we're seconds away from mentioning Von Clausewitz.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
"Metagaming is a broad term usually used to define any strategy, action or method used in a game which transcends a prescribed ruleset, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game. Another definition refers to the game universe outside of the game itself.
In simple terms, using out-of-game information, or resources, to affect one's in-game decisions."

Haven't seen much news from Provi lately. Has -A- & CVA reached an agreement?
Fighting is ongoing, today we (AAA, UK, Sys-k, En Garde) took two Provi stations and have managed to secure sov in those systems. What happens next is anyones guess, but at the moment I think the aim is to keep on pushing whenever we have the time and inclination, without burning out.
U'K grabbed sov in 3D- and Z-R, so I guess the negotiations are mainly at gunpoint for the moment.
