Are proteus' really that good or is it just retards who see high dps blaster and think they're good? When I quit there was some badass tengu/lengion/loki fits but proteus' were kinda meh.

tengu = good for pve, not really a pvp ship
legion = bad
loki = ok
proteus = awesome

proteus has a 100m3 drone bay and 25 bandwidth from an engineering subsys, whereas the loki has to fit specific offensive subsys to get drones.

proteus with covops cloak can still do huge dps.

i fly a cloaking unbubblable probing 90k shield buffer loki and its insane fun

and yess i got my loki hull for 260m and the subsystems were 50m each for 3 and 25m for the other 2 IIRC.

The legion isn't bad if you missile fit it. Yes, strangely it gets a better dps/tank with launchers (missile subsystems) than with lasers.

Down to about 210-215 for the hull now, but the subs have gone up.

my issue with the proteus is that you need to get into the point of no return (scram/web/neut) range to violence people. But if its not an issue (ganking people, 90% of eve pvp amirite) its the best

Yeah you can still get pretty good alpha from it however that doesn't seem to have been used for a suicide gank so... meh, projectile abaddon would be better for non suicide ganking I guess.

10-11k Alpha with minimal training. If you cant fly a Tempest then its the next best thing for suicide ganking at the moment.

Its possible people are using them as anti ewar to kill Falcons etc... at range, but its pretty idiotic considering what lasers are like.

Even if they are ALL copies there are a significant number of COSMOS bpc's there, they can be horrendously pricy

account became compromised by isk farmers due to weak password etc.

all sorted now tho, ccp reimbursed isk value for all the shit they flogged off via market, although intangibles like cosmos bpcs I lost out on..

btw the bs prints were copies, I think only the Itty 5 was orig.
