It's what you get when you jump 450+ people into a low sec system with about 200+ already in it. Low-Sec is terrible for lag, even with 50-60 people fights its barely playable. Not to mention it was not even reinforced, I would of taught the node would of crashed even sooner then it did.
As for the whole node crashing statement by Molle, I guess you don't get sarcasm. The fights are expected to have huge numbers behind them, its a given nodes will crash and it will lag to fuck and back.

So the day's recap of the South vs North..
- NC declared wars on IT and few other entities and are using those to interdict the IT forces moving through empire to the frontlines.
- The IT early evening capital movement convoy was hotdropped in Saranen. Relative to the size of the forces involved the losses were fairly minimal on both sides (collectively ~20 capitals killed, out of several hundred), mostly due to node crashing.
Otherwise action has been mainly small skirmishes in empire between IT travel and the various NC roaming gangs, nothing of significance has happened in 0.0 so far.

I don't think they lost that many, but they are bound to lose a lot over the coming months playing Gridlock Online. I think I am up to 140ish capital bpcs now, I slackened off on the component copying as the effort required of late is more than the potential isk gain. If the capital prices spike then I may have to re-sub some copying accounts. I'll have to wait for all the corp thieves to clear their backlogs though.

Severance are infamous for playing loose with NRDS during their tenancy and were vocal about what a pain in the behind the policy is. I doubt they will try and be NRDS in the North; or rather, wherever they actually end up staying long term.
