Well, Trigona made a fucking awful post. But he's right.

After Kengoku died, the very same people who already managed to bring 1400 dudes in a system kept adding blues. Against ALL Authorities basically blued every alliance who convo'ed them saying "hurf blurf WE HATE GOONS", same for Atlas and the Stainwagon. At the same time we had Viper trying to be a faggot to every PL FC and ally, and unfortunately Shamis was too inactive to notice it while murmuring that BoB was dead and the south was too weak.

In the end, it was a lot like PL's course was being decided by Butter Dog and General Windypops. But unironically. Look at Dekanor/Suppilappic: he ranted about PL and Goons for their blues then bragged about his blue list and the size of fleets in the south. Only a faggot like Viper could believe the bullshit about "good fights" and I'm really glad that he's gone from PL, as it was a real nice bunch of guys.

Goons and NC of course have their slice of guilt, as well, when they decided that letting Atlas live was a good idea. While Atlas wasn't certainly BoB, they were a catalyst and a magnet for pilots and alliances and are now eons better than AAA in terms of power projection and stamina (not that AAA was any good at either, but still).

Not ment as a troll cippa but could you finally say what is it that caused all this hate between you and viper. I mean c'mon seriously it was PL if you cant stand the trolling get out of the kitchen. How was he so much worse than the rest of the alliance that he is, so it seems by your words, the main reason Pl failed in the end. Having been in Pl for a whole minute i offcourse am a expert on the inner workings of the alliance aswell so i would like to compare notes.

All joking aside it was pretty clear how this was going to end as many a Pl member stated that before dominion went live it was gonna be such a pile of shit they wouldnt be fighting in it. Now offcourse it could just be a pre-emptive we didnt want that region anyway hurfblurf back then but i still to this day cant fathom why people were surprised the fountain campaign went any other way. The guy was simply a prick and unsufferable to have around, constantly shitting on others and making it a generally unfun and serious business atmosphere, so while he didn't specifically target me, I hated what he was trying to do.

And of course people will start logging back in once you don't have to log in to fight 450 IT, of course people will log in to do tri-style roams, it wasn't VS' fault IT were there and I doubt many PL had anything against killing Hurley/NC caps/etc so it's easy to blame it on him. His trolling didn't help at all of course but listening to PL dudes say "omg viper made pl very unfunny and etc" makes me laugh, ffs you were in oshit, read your recruitment forum and the way you treated applicants and so on. Uhm, I was pretty much the guy who always treated applicants nicely? Unless you mean as a corp then yeah applicants weren't exactly treated fairly.
For the rest I don't see why you and others make such a big deal out of joining IT as I never, ever logged in after it, I had decided to quit long before and simply asked Mo to take my chars before quitting (and in fact Mo got 2 of my chars, Gobbins got my main and the Mimir, and The Monkeysphere got another char).

As for PL -- Viper took on the difficult task of transitioning us out of the ~2 year slomp we set out on when Shamis set the charter to kill BoB. Since this to me personally and to the alliance as well ended with the fall of Delve mk2 (I'm sorry, but I have no hate for IT alliance and view them as a very different alliance to BoB -- and I might add positively different) -- what had to happen was a reset.

Let's be honest, reset when we moved to curse was no real reset at all. That was my fault mainly, I'll put my hand up for that freely. Viper had a good idea and a good plan with the attack on the north, it worked well and actually separated the lines and reset the old friendships politically. Naturally, it had the downside of marking PL as the easiest gank target around, but arguably I've always said -- we always were one of the easiest regions to conquer. Just happened the ones who came to try (DAISHO, RQM, ...) didn't really have a plan, man power or resources to complete the task. I guess for whatever e-bushido reasons some tried to hold to the old baggage and defend, can't really comment on how/what happened.

As always - transitions are a bit painful and some decide to move on v0v. Viper did a needed job and probably took a lot of heat in the process that made it hard for him to stay on, but it was a job everyone knew very well what the end result would be in my view. I said as much at the time anyway, some may have brushed it aside as usual doodoo-pessimism -- but I told you so! .

So anyway -- there's nothing to "blame" Viper for, he did a job that needed to be done and he did it well. We're back to where a lot of us wanted to be, but it's definately not for everyone.
